So the guy I just drew is my dnd oc from a campaign I was doing a little bit ago and his name is Adrian! He’s a half-elf wild magic sorcerer which basically means that whenever he casts a spell, he has a chance of that spell backfiring not manifesting in a different way than intended. Because of this, he avoids magic when possible, out of fear of harming his party. The feathers poking out of his skin are a manifestation of the wild magic condition- they get worse when he hasn’t used his magic in a while, are prevalent when casting a spell that goes wrong, but are less aggressive when he regularly manages to use his magic properly. The revealed teeth aren’t actually a part of his canon character design I just felt like drawing that (😔 maybe they should be). I could come up with some symbolic reason for them being there but it would be kinda a lie bc I didn’t have too much in mind when I drew it. Also he has glasses I just lowkey forgot them/decided I wouldn’t add them here
Adrian’s whole character arc revolves around him learning to use his magic to protect others, not seeing himself as such a threat, and learning to be confident in his abilities and worth. He turns out to be really accomplished with fire magic (yeah I just cast fireball as many times as possible per session). I imagine at the end of the campaign he goes to work at the library in the city that took him in as a child, and lives out the rest of his days as a librarian or smth. Often post-campaign I depict him with less facial feathers but a pair of wings, to show how the wild magic he embraced is still a part of him, but now it doesn’t have to hijack his body as much.
I created him a while back when I was younger so he started out a little angsty 😭 It’s ok if he’s cringe bc I love him anyway
I have some other ocs both from dnd and just my own so I might post them later! The only other I’ve posted for now is a prince named Aaron who is dealing with trying to run a kingdom he is too young to handle, while simultaneously suffering from the tiring dilemma of not knowing whether or not his father is alive or dead in the room/wing of the castle he locked himself in. Aaron has a ton of anger issues and is generally an unpleasant guy, while Adrian is very kind although sometimes anxious or unsure.
