the distinction between arcane jayvik's appeal and league vikjayce's appeal is, in my mind, very very clear.

jayvik spends the whole show telling you the yaoi is doomed, and then in the last twenty minutes tells you that sike the yaoi is actually astrally ordained soulmates who belong together in all timelines & all possibilities, now watch them doom themselves in an explosion shaped like a butterfly and also they may not even be dead

vikjayce says oh, yeah, the yaoi is totally doomed, but look at the fun tricks they can do in divorce court!!!

hate when people act like jayce giopara is just "jerk jayce" or "jayce talis if he was an asshole", because jayce giopara is literally just a low-empathy autistic guy who’s never struggled ever. like his bio looks you in your face and says that!!!!!

he struggled ONE TIME and immediately thought “oh my god i should be a nicer person and apologize to my ex” and you people are SO MEAN to this man. for shame.

its very important to me in ANY vikjayce fanwork that the entire academy knows they're dating before they do

jayce was assumed gay within his first month because any time a woman would try talking to him he'd be impolite and wouldn't understand or cooperate with the typical flirting maneuvers, and also just look at the way he stands

viktor was confirmed gay within his first week when he was shocked to find out that pilties were NOT cool with the mankissing thing

this led to a good bit of gossip when they started sharing a lab and absolutely no surprise when they started calling eachother 'partner'. eventually it also led to an academy-wide betting pool (with even professors getting in on the action) on when they would break up
