Despite the rain, Gabriel finds himself standing outside the shop, watching people rush to find cover. He'd initially stepped outside to get some fresh air -- it's one of the few reasons he actually goes outside, these days, fresh air and grocery shopping are the only reasons he can think of to leave the shop, however briefly.
