TWST Rarepair Summer Week 4 - Fireflies / Chalk Art

Boy I'm so late! First problems with the program and now i'd run out of free time, however I will finish this summer If it's the last thing I do!! And so the very pushed back week 4 is VilJack!

This Twisted Wonderland collage of Vil Schoenheit and Jack Howl, who are from the same home town and were featured in a few events together.

I did a series of TWST ship collages for Pride Month, as I based the pair ups on events the characters were in, or the ties they have. I had based a few of those collages on Beanfest and the Culinary Crucible, but I ended up leaving this cooking pair out as I was using info that is on the EN server and forgot about the facts that are still limited to the JP server.

TWST — Vil and Jack: a Twisted Beauty and the Beast

Before I saw Vil’s backstory, I found out from a friend that he and Jack not only live in the same country, but in the same neighborhood as well.

A few days after the end of Chapter 5, a thought came to me: Vil and Jack are like Beauty and the Beast. Physically, we can see why for Vil and Jack has his Unique Magic “Unleash the Beast”, but the reasons aren’t limited to that.

First, since it’s Twisted Wonderland, the bad guys are portrayed in a more positive way. In this case, wolves aren’t the danger to the Beauty, but humans who can’t see beyond their own prejudices like the Beast once did in the past. The roles are reversed.

And speaking of reversed roles, Vil and Jack are the Beast and the Beauty respectively. Like seen above, Jack is the one trying to protect Vil from people who want to hurt him because he doesn’t fit in and/or they don’t want to understand him.

Because he treats Vil like a person, he has left a good impression on the latter. Jack was the only one who saw Vil beyond his villain/monster role like how Belle grew to love the Beast despite his appearance. At the same time, that made him an odd one like how Belle stands out from the crowd.

(Also, the mob going after the Beast is like the dwarfs doing the same with the Evil Queen because she had hurt the heroine. While she died, the Beast (and by association Vil) didn’t because he had people on his side.)

When it comes to confessions in the TWST ships of malleona rugrid jamikali viljack etc others ya ship who confessed ther love firstand how did they do it as well as who made the actual 1st move in asking for sexual intercorse

With MalLeo I think it was Malleus who first like asked Leona out, most likely with a large bouquet, as I think he didn't really see them as rivals before and was just really infatuated with Leona, obviously the other didn't believe Malleus actually was in love with him at first but they worked it out~ As for papapa with those two that was definitely Leona who started it >:)

I think Riddle fell in love first but Ruggie asked him out first, probably just a casual conversation and he just sprung the question and flustered the hell out of Riddle hehe

Kalim asked out Jamil like a million and a half times before getting a yes, mostly because Jamil didn't want to change their relationship due to their status but since I believe Kalim never saw Jamil as anything but his equal he wasn't thinking that way. But it took a lot of time and communication for these two to work :)

Jack I think probably had a little internalized homophobia and had a huge crisis when he reunited with Vil at NRC and started crushing on him, which when that all came spilling out to Vil when the dorm head pressured him to tell him what was wrong Vil probably immediately corrected his line of thinking (and probably kissed him for good measure)
