I’ve run out of my own Tech art to reblog for Tech Tuesday 😅 But I still want to keep this thing going, so I thought I’d make a shout out to a Tech fic that I’ve enjoyed reading recently instead. It’s called Fall Through and is written by RubyStiff89 on AO3.
It’s a isekai/character transported to a new strange place kind of thing, which I usually enjoy when it comes to Tech because I’m always curious about how he’d react to all the things and technologies in our world. I think it’s very entertaining so far! I also love how the author has Tech’s dialogue nailed down so perfectly. Every time I read his dialogue, I can totally hear him speak in that crisp, clipped and adorable accent that he has.

One of my fave piece of clone writing is Baby Talk by @wreckerdecker. It’s about Tech hanging out with baby Omega. It’s short, it’s sweet, and every scene is so good and so believable that it’s forever etched into my mind.
Things I love about this fic (contains spoilers, maybe read the fic before and then scream with me later below?):
Tech’s characterisation is so ON POINT.
The fact that he finished the repair before he started tending to a distressed Omega, that’s totally something he’d do.
Tech worrying about germs, but holding back because he knows it’s good for her.
THE ENTIRE BOOP SCENE.
“You’re my little sister, and I am your big brother. And I love you very much.” ASDFGHJKL
WHEN HE STARTS INFO-DUMPING FACTS ABOUT HER AND ENDS WITH “Everything about you is incredible.” AAAAAAA
Also this part is so hilarious:
“Here you are,” he says politely as he hands it back to his sister. Her wide grin makes him smile. “This is when people would usually say thank you. It’s a signal of gratitude, and often considered polite.”
She proceeds to shove the left arm of the doll in her mouth.
“Since you’re currently incapable of speaking, I’ll give you a pass for now.”
Also since I like giving unsolicited recs on songs that go well with fics: I feel that this kinda goofy sounding song by Daði Freyr encapsulates Tech’s thoughts and feelings for Omega really well!
