1 and 2 for the unique writing asks, pretty please.
1. What themes would you like to write about that you feel don’t get explored very often?
Oo, i think Philial love needs more, well, love. Especially between women. Romance and ships are fun and all but the most impactful relationships of my life have been platonic ones. It doesn’t seem to get the same focus, but there’s just as much depth, complexity, growth, turmoil and catharsis to be found.
2. What are some common elements of stories you are tired of seeing? What would you avoid writing about?
Hmm, anything to do with destiny, especially in relation to a chosen bloodline or some such. If nothing is ever foretold again it will be too soon. I’ve had my fill of neat, convenient stories where everything is all ordained and supernaturally special. I like it messier. Destiny isn’t going to save the world, the characters better get off their rear, develop some motivation, and go do it themselves.
