the year is 1939, my best friend and i are having a sleepover the weekend before school starts, and we're messing around with my aunt's old art supplies. i find some paint brushes, and she asks me to paint on her. we both try to ignore the tension as i paint flowers and clouds up her arm, but as soon as i reach her bicep we both freeze and she envelopes me in a tender kiss, pretending we can live in the moment forever
