For the "choose violence ask game", 1, 7, 8 and 25 (fandom(s) of your choice) 💥💥💥
1. A character everyone gets wrong
This one's hard bc ppls interpretations on character are as varied as snowflakes and I genuinely think I could be guided to most outcomes w the correct fic.
That said. I think a lot of authors get character traits between Fadel and Bison mixed up. The thing is they both contain many aspects of each other's archetype, and ppl wrote from memory, which means that a lot of these traits become muddled in one's head if one doesn't take the time to carefully pick them apart and ask "is this a trait of x character or is this a trait of x character's general archetype?"
Ppl also do the above to merrill.
7. What character did you begin to hate because of how the fandom acts?
The easy answer is once again astarion. Since I'm not in that fandom I'll shift to something I know. I'm not sure I'd say Hate, but I certainly like mo ran from 二哈 a whole whole lot less than I used to based primarily on how the fandom acted abt him
8. Common fandom opinion everyone is wrong about
[cop out argument abt anders here] if I got into anders not only would we be here all day, it'd be boring too.
OK so! "blood magic is fine actually and everyone should be chill abt it". No. Yeah, we've read AO and other masterpieces that make us think abt blood magic's place in thedas and what the villanisation of it does. However. Blood magic as utilised in dao specifically is about mental control of other ppl, it can be utilised by spilling the blood of others... There's a reason it's Not Acceptable in most places. Ppl in thedas have very very good reason to be afraid of blood magic and if your characters AREN'T, I need to see your working to believe it
25. Common fandom complaint you're sick of hearing
Sick of seeing individual writers being brought up as the root of all evil in DA games. They're not THE root of all evil they're A root of the evil tree that is the video game dragon age
