Prehistory talk: At one point the Permian earth was basically DUNE
When I was watching Dune I had this revelation: The earth, OUR PLANET, during the Permian period was the closest to the world of DUNE but without the behemoth sandworms.
Think about it. From what we know thus far about the late Permian period is that earth was a desolate desert with barely any water sources. During the great dying or the Permian extinction 90% of life went extinct. So a lot of animals we could have unearthed but they sadly were never fossilized. I could be wrong though but what do YOU think?
