Flower of the day is Violet Flower! Violets are ancient symbols of modesty, love, and faithfulness. Featuring heart-shaped leaves and five-petal, nodding blooms, they hide explosive seed pods that shoot seeds several feet away. Surprisingly, 1/2 cup of violet greens contains more Vitamin C than three oranges, and their petals naturally shift color based on soil pH.Because the delicate plant grows low to the ground with its "head bowed," it has long been associated with humility. Historically, it was named February's birth flower. Violets have played a major role in history; Napoleon Bonaparte was so fond of them that they were his signature flower, and his wife Josephine threw him a bouquet of sweet violets when they first met.
There are also like a Balkan sweets that are also violets, I recommend. They are very sweet and actually smell like violets and honey! Also some eat them while sick because if I remember correctly, they help with sick and sore throat! Their healing and sweetness makes them just the perfect sweet flower candy
Does anyone remember these candies? They are from a long time ago, and I just found some today. I like them. They have a floral scent and a weird taste, but I like it. It shows how old I am because I know what these are. 😁🤣😍

VIOLET CANDY - Violet flower petals covered with sugar syrup then crystallized.
One of my favorite candies :) It has a lovely floral scent/taste and it reminds me of the Mad Men period!
