Key information you should never forget...
It was in Bennington, Vermont that Violet came into this world as the youngest of three. Growing up with two older brothers that taught her how to protect herself became so ingrained in her being that Violet assumes the worst in everyone. When she was just hitting puberty, her mother was caught cheating on her father with a man Violet had trusted with her life and since then, she can not shake this inability to open up to others, which often hurts her relationships. A girl with big ambition, she finished her undergraduate degree at a university in New Hampshire before moving back to her home state for graduate school. Violet knows that nothing can stop her from achieving the dreams she has created for herself, but she does not realize just how difficult that might be as the strange situations at Cabot Creek continue to push everyone around her to their limits.

Professors admire Violet’s drive. Initially, she seems like a sweet girl (and she can be), but they quickly notice how intense she can be and worry that she takes things a little too seriously.
Her friends want to know more about her. She is a mystery, and those that see her more intense side are left with unanswered questions.
In high school, Violet was struggling with her home life and often pushed her friends away. It was alarming, but the ones who truly cared stuck around.
