I know you guys already listed who your favorite male yanderes are, but hopefully this won't sound like a repeat question. What would you say are some reviews that either you two found recently (like, at least did not know the material prior to making this blog) OR were suggested by someone, that you were "pleasantly surprised" by? I know you don't always some material, so which ones would you say you were happy with the results when you didn't know what would happen? My wording is weird.

Julie and I talked a little and we came up with a short list of male yandere recommendations we got from our anons that we were pleasantly surprised about.
I’ve Been Reincarnated as this Game’s Villainess, I’ll Train the Main Capture Target to be a Yandere- Hands down, this was our favorite recommendation. “Pleasantly surprised” is an understatement of what we felt when we read it. We were pretty ecstatic tbh.
Miniamaru Kareshi- Julie was pretty surprised by this one. She expected it to be cliche shoujo bullshit but found the ML to be extremely likable.
Stolen: A letter to my Captor- For me, while I wasn’t exactly craze about the female lead, I did fall in love with the male lead. He was surprisingly cute and a solid yandere. So I guess you can say I was pleasantly surprised.
@violetosprey You wanted to know. I get the feeling this is going to get long, but bear with me please.
Alrighty! So, first up for the story you wanted to see! We have Asrae and Detective Logan! Logan is a newbie FBI agent (Or something similar, I’m not very knowledgeable in the law enforcement departments) sent to a small town to investigate a serial murderer who uses undiluted hydrogen peroxide and bleach to kill people and burn down buildings used as drug labs. Asrae is a young woman who was blinded by chemicals and works with the local police department to catch criminals; she also does a nightly dare show for fun (She’s also colorblind, so she can’t pick out her own clothes). Long story short: Asrae was never actually blinded by the chemicals as she got surgery a long time ago to reverse (or at least lessen) the damage. Logan only finds this out after she gains his sympathy by telling him how she got injured, who “Cathy” was, and why no one in the town really cared that drug addicts and drug lords were being burned alive in their own factories. He also kind of starts to fall in love with her because she has such strong convictions regarding justice. She never goes into details, usually only saying things like “Why should those with money be able to buy freedom like the innocent? They should be sent to hell with a needle in their arm like the rest of them.” He finds it a little creepy at fist, but he eventually gets used to it.
And she’s never really in his face about any of this. She has the whole town and police department with her (and against the local judges), and they all play along. I’m still writing the story revolving around these two, but there are going to be some parts where she crashes into furniture that has been moved or when in an unfamiliar location, provided Logan is there. But I’m also going to try and add little hints for the audience that she’s lying. For instance, in the opening, she’s watching TV and then turns it off; you could dismiss this as her just needing background noise and knowing where the buttons on her remote are after so long, but small things like that are what I’m going for!
I also really like to make my characters morally grey, and Asrae is one such character. As far as she and the rest of the town is concerned (minus the judges), she has lost EVERYTHING. She used to have a sister and mother, and many other friends, but they all kind of died. She also learned that the people who would watch her show had...Well, some of them were Strade levels of bad, but not into gore *coughdon’tmakemesayitpleasecough*. And that kind of pushed her over the edge. It debatable which one is the yandere in this story, but Logan does end up letting her go even after they meet up again.
This is not my only story with a setup like this, now that I think about it, but the other one involves children for a very specific reason (one of them looks up to the killer because children are weird).
I can't believe this is only my first time hearing Grimshaw (I've probably been focusing too much on Rire posts). Love his scar. Any brief notes on him that the most consistent about his character?
That’s actually not surprising considering i haven’t really drawn him much haha. I think there’s only like several doodles on here with him - this is actually one of my first really nice drawings of him so thanks! :D

Nowadays depending on the AU he’s either a villain who generally sees other people as tools or investments, and grooms people to believe that any bad thing he does to them is through some fault of their own. Mostly because he never starts something he waits and then “retaliates”

He’s linguistically savage to people he doesn’t like (esp in the form of backhanded compliments/thinly veiled insults) and gets satisfaction from their rising anger
Doesn’t like interacting with other people in his line of work/villainy
He has watercolour galaxy tattoos that start from just above his shoulders down to around the top of his elbows
Both the scar and the tattoos are actually from a superhero AU where he was a supervillain with light based powers and stardust manipulation. I liked them enough to make them part of his all around canon look \o/
