Title: "Viral Interventions: Present (Final)" Together with my group, we collaborated on a project set in a location resembling a tropical forest. We filmed one of our members portraying someone lost and searching for a way out. The twist is that danger takes the form of an unseen operator silently recording and stalking him. This concept highlights the constant presence of danger and the importance of staying vigilant, no matter where you are.

VIRAL INTERVENTIONS PRESENT

For this assignment, my group and I created a sentence based on the four words we chose from a news source. Based on that sentence, we had to make a public performance on campus. My group and I decided to do our performance at the astronomy tower. We decided to use paper, tape, and colored pencils for the project. We decided to create a border with blue and silver tape on the paper. Then, we decided to create different moon and eclipse phases and implemented faces and emotions in them. Next, we add the phases onto the paper, and our sentence is, “Emotional eclipse changes perspective into roaming with anxiety.” Once we finished, we presented our project at the front of the astronomy tour and recorded a video. Some people looked at our project; some walked away. At first, the project sounded difficult because we had limited time, but overall, it was fun.

Viral Interventions: Present

Here is the video that we made for the project. We decided to go by the astroscience center since we thought it would be somewhat fitting for what our statement was. What we did was pretty much hold up the sign in an attempt to make passerbys stop and watch as we held up our statement. What I thought was interesting is that there happened to be an eclipse on that day, and that we picked an on site location that related somewhat to our statement (keyword: eclipse.) We are still finalizing what our initial idea would be, but it will probably have something to do with the different moon phases surrounding the eclipse in order to represent the various stages plus play around with various shapes and color in order to create intensity of emotions (primarily anxiety) and somewhat depict that in a sculpture or something that can be interactive with the public.
