Astraea is the daughter of the titans Astraeus and Eos. She is the virgin goddess - her asteroid is closely related to the constellation Virgo (and sometimes Libra). While there isn’t a significant mythological story associated with her, this celestial goddess is said to be the last to have lived amongst the humans. She left out of disgust for our corrupt nature - it was said that when she returns to earth she will bring utopia to society and end all human suffering. IN MY OPINION Astraea represents a) virginity (i have noticed when using solar return charts that the year you lose your’s this asteroid is either retrograded, in scorpio or at a scorpio degree, in the 8h, or aspecting venus/mars - orbs of 2° or less (more often than not - it’s multiples of these)), b) where there are pure intentions, c) what you wish was different in society, d) where you tend to get most annoyed in life, and/or e) where you are the last person to leave a situation.

i encourage you to look into the aspects of astraea along with the sign, degree, and house placement. for the more advanced astrologers, take a look at the persona chart of astraea AND/OR add the other characters involved to see how they support or impede astraea!

Your Mars falling in their 1st House/Mars conjunct their Ascendant or your Eros conjunct their Ascendant

A primal attraction, could be purely sexual or physical, energetical attraction. With Eros it is mostly sexual and physical. They turn you on.

Your Venus in their 1st or Venus conjunct their Ascendant

Romantic attraction, they are your type, they have qualities you are romantically or aesthetically attracted to.

I think Ascendant and Venus are quite important when it comes to physical attraction since they are the ones that represent your looks, style, how you show your beauty, what kind of beauty you have, etc.

Mars conjunct the other person's Venus

Primal attraction to their beauty, style, how they represent their beauty. Definitely a big sign for romantic attraction and strong chemistry between two people.

A very important one is their Ascendant conjunct your Descendant/7th House

They represent the qualities you look for in a partner at a first glance.

I have a Leo Descendant and I have had a crush on most of the Leo Risings I've met.

Having squares or oppositions between these planets could also show attraction, but rather than finding them relatable, liking them for the similarities they have to you, you find them intriguing, there is mystery, a need to explore them, which can make it more of an exciting reaction, rather than something that feels easy.
