Hey everyone, Inku here! 

I decided to delete my old posts and start over. I was in a very bad place then, and I don’t want to have that energy looming about.

I thought a good way to restart is a new introduction! So sit back, relax, and enjoy the post :)

Grade: Senior in High School (Class of ‘21)

School: Michigan Great Lakes Virtual Academy 

Current classes: Fashion and Interior Design, American Literature, World Literature, Consumer Math A, Astronomy, and Reaching Your Academic Potential

Goals: Find a study routine, improve handwriting, posting regularly, and take care of myself <3

What to Expect: Pictures of notes and stationery, walkthroughs of the k12 website, probably some random musings regarding school, and a face reveal sometime :)

Hobbies: Collecting stationery, drawing, playing violin, cooking, astrology, and exploring nature

I also bought some stationery essentials at Stationery Pal! I can't wait to show my haul to you guys ^^

Good afternoon :)  Time for another walkthrough!! Today I'll be showing y'all what's in a class website. Once again, this was orientation week, so there's not a lot of material XD

First we have the class home page, which shows current grades, assignments, and is basically a summary of the material.

Next is the plan tab, which shows daily work in a planner format:

After that is the content tab, which hosts all of the content we will be learning during the semester:

(I had to change the screenshots to another class, as homeroom classes don't have graded material)

Next we have the progress tab, which shows your progress through the semester. Apologies for the crustiness, the site can be wacky sometimes ;-;

Finally, we have the grades tab, which shows all the grade received during the semester

I'll be making one last walkthrough, which'll show how I submit assignments.

Good afternoon! Today was my first day of senior year ^^

Like the years before, we have orientation, or Boot Camp, the first week of the semester. This is when we learn/review academic expectations, navigating the k12 site, and attending live sessions. I'll be making a walkthrough of Boot Camp, as a peek into online school life. Today's entry is about academic expectations :)

Academic Expectations at MGLVA

My school, Michigan Great Lakes Virtual Academy (or MGLVA), has very high expectations for the students. We must:

Attend all required live sessions (or Class Connect sessions) every day

Login to the Online High School (OHS) every day

Login to each class every day

Spend 6.5 hours in school (Michigan law)

We also have a weighted grading scale, which includes:

55% - unit tests and graded assignments

35% - daily work

10% - final exams

This just about sums up the academic expectations entry of orientation. Thanks for reading <3

a perk of being a virtual student is getting to doodle hearts in my math workbook without getting in trouble. what’re the teachers gonna do? Come to my house and look over my shoulder to make sure I’m not doodling hearts?
