Ok, just a couple of my thoughts about the virtual NW shows:

Let’s start with the negatives. You guys... can I just say... I wasn’t exactly crazy about that CGI. Sure, a couple of shots were gorgeous, but overall it looked kinda... ch- cheap...?! *cringes & draws back from the wrath of fans* And the in-between scenery shots were a bit distracting if anything. God, I would have LOVED it if they just performed in some sort of church and used props instead, like ACTUAL old books and candelabras and vintage globes and ivy branches and some galaxy projectors or sth. That would’ve been SO much better imo.

But, but, the actual shows were freaking INCREDIBLE!! Hearing the new songs live for the first time was the best. Shoemaker, How’s the Heart, Pan and Tribal were awesome. My other favs were TGSoE, Alpenglow, Élan, and omg the Ad Astra finale with Floor’s vocals! Honestly they couldn’t have ended the shows in a better way. And ohhh, seeing how happy they were to play and their little smiles throughout, their precious interactions and their hugs in the end was just wholesome, I was grinning like an idiot. Marco was definitely missed (especially during the songs that were previously duets), Endlessness was one of my favs from the new album and I was so excited to hear it live, but what can ya do. :/ Hopefully they’ll vibe with Jukka just as well as they did with Floor and he’ll sing (and maybe even GROWL pls?!) and give us some gems in the future (because Troy might be a master instrumentalist, but ehm his voice doesn’t really do it for me sorry). And can we just take a moment to talk about Floor’s costumes? Because damn, she was gorgeous, a feast for the eyes AND the ears. I’m so happy I got to experience these shows, and I honestly can’t wait to actually see them live someday.
