Danica doesn't know this Dave very well yet, but she does know that she prefers him to those fucking things crawling their way over here. They'd emerged from the lava, dripping with the molten sludge as they advanced in a pack -- the pair have been backed together. Dani's pressed against the soft bed of Dave's feathers, sword drawn and at the ready. Dave is in a similar position, stiff and tense with anticipation of attack as she'd watched him yank the sword from his chest. She winces even if she knows that it's not a big deal for him. It still looks terribly painful.
"Looks like we have some uninvited guests." She muses, twirling the katana between her fingers as the creatures start getting too close for comfort, spitting and emitting some sound that's a bastard child between a growl and a hiss. Dani doesn't wait for the what for, she just launches herself at the ones on her side, feeling confident that Dave can take care of the animals on his own. This is one fucked up planet, even compared to her planet back in the Game. The girl dissolves into a flash step, attacking the first on her side with a well aimed stab to the cranium, making it still with one last crackling hiss and a violent writhe. She doesn't waste time moving on to the next, yanking the sword from its skull and hopping out of the way of the other animals' advances.
