If marvel were to make a new Young Avengers series with the original lineup I'd be there in a heartbeat I miss my bois Tommy Eli and Cassie so damn much
young avengers aesthetic → vision / jonas
okay I need to talk about this in detail
Jonas had some time between gaining sentience and when he joined the Young Avengers to help rescue Teddy. And when he offers to help, the first thing he suggests they do is drop over to New Jersey and break a complete stranger out of prison.
Like, they had no idea what kind of person Tommy Shepherd was. None of them, including Jonas, even seemed to think he was innocent. Why would breaking him out of prison be plan A? Granted, they were low on options, but this makes little sense. It’s even implied that there were other people in the Avengers’ fail safe program, but Jonas kind of insisted on Tommy when Billy asked to skip him, even though doing so would be illegal, potentially dangerous and would take them out of their way when time was of the essence.
Granted, Tommy was very powerful; he was probably the best option. But Jonas had a bit of time to do some research before the rest of the YA came back. He must have had access to the juvie records to some degree. I think it’s highly unlikely that he didn’t know Tommy was being experimented on in there. That he was a minor being subjected to a human rights violation.
It was first and foremost Jonas who decided to set Tommy free, Jonas who orchestrated the plan and Jonas who carried it out. Jonas was the one who wanted Tommy on the team. At the end of the day, Jonas saved Tommy’s life, and nothing will ever convince me that he didn’t know exactly what he was doing.
So like. That’s why it’s so depressing to me that it was Tommy arguing in circles about bringing Jonas back when he died. The way everyone else shut him down, I know they meant well, but Jonas should have had a chance to grieve. He was more than just Cassie’s robot boyfriend, he was a Young Avenger and he was their friend. Tommy was the one who didn’t assume he’d be better off dead, and that...is heartbreaking. But I’m so, so, glad it was Tommy, because Tommy owed him more than that.
idk I just really wish we’d seen more of Jonas’s relationship with the other Young Avengers. I wish somebody would say his name. I wish more people missed him.
Vision Part 2
If you haven’t read part 1 yet then you should to make more sense of this :)
ALSO if you have any prompts for Kuromahi, either for this AU or any request really then let me know cause I’m really bored :) (Help me fight this boredom!! ;) )

"K-Kuro," Mahiru pulled the vampire down, closer to his body, arms circling his neck. Every touch from his servamp felt amplified now that he couldn't see. The servamp smiled lazily at his eve. It was refreshing to see his usually talkative eve so lost for words.
Kuro nuzzled Mahiru's neck, making the boy laugh.
"What are you doing? It's tickling me!"
what she says: i’m fine
what she means: How is Cassie Lang dealing with Jonas’s death? How did she react when the rest of the Young Avengers told her it was Nate that killed him? Have they even told her? How much time has Cassie actually spent with the rest of her friends since she was brought back to life? It was her and Jonas’s deaths that ultimately led the team to disband after Children’s Crusade and there has barely been any mention of either of them in any comics involving the other characters since she was brought back. The Young Avengers made the decision not to attempt to rebuild Jonas out of fear that the news of Cassie’s death would destroy him, but now that she is alive again they haven’t so much as mentioned him let alone proposed an attempt to rebuild him. He was their friend too, and he spent so much time forging an identity for himself separate from Nate and Vision only to be thoughtlessly killed and then never mentioned again. Did the Young Avengers decide to conceal the full truth about Jonas’s death from Cassie because it would probably break her heart if she knew? What does she think happened to him? When is Cassie’s history with her team going to be actually addressed within her current story arc and what is going to happen to her next? She was a hero trained in multiple forms of martial arts who died for her cause, when is Marvel going to give her the attention she deserves as a character in her own right with her own history instead of just treating her as Scott’s daughter and therefore an extension of his character? Cassie Lang deserves better and so did Jonas.
things that I want: Tommy guilt tripping Vision into building a new body for Jonas
