I'm terrible about remembering to cross post, but I wrote a new YA fic, summary, tags and link below for anyone interested~

Summary: Still, Tommy could not look away from the fire. When he closed his eyes, the tendrils writhed across his eyelids in technicolor, consuming Billy at their heart. No matter what he did, the flames kept burning and Billy kept screaming. It was almost funny; he wasn’t sure Billy was even aware he’d been screaming, but Tommy would never forget the sound as long as he lived, smoke-stripped and pain-soaked as it was. He’d tried to talk over it, to drown it out with his own empty assurances, but it hadn’t worked. That helpless feeling crept back over him, his near-constant companion since Baba Yaga’s, and Tommy fisted his hair in his hands, as though he could wrench the memory out by the roots along with it. Not even seeing his twin safe and uninjured or the brief hug they shared had made the screaming in his head abate. Nothing had. “Tom? Y’alright?”

yes they do!!!

I think that depending on the author, tommy, kate, and billy could be written to be a lot more grittier and they definitely wouldn't hesitate to kill someone if they really had to.

but yeah tommy gets put into affectionate because he's been through. a lot of shit. kate gets into derogatory (affectionate) because she's blueballing america chavez therefore its my duty to bust her chops. and billy ends up in derogatory because I think he could make a really compelling villain, or maybe even like. a temporarily antagonistic force in a story. and also I don't have enough space for him to be in any other column lol. but I do feel like of the three, he's comparatively the "most unethical" whether its on purpose or by accident by the nature of his powers.

btw pisses me off that they ever tried to make Billy and Teddy have an open and honest discussion about their feelings. don’t lie to my fucking face no they would the fuck not. Billy “if I pretend like the twin brother I abandoned does not exist hard enough then I will be forgiven of all my sins of abandoning him” Kaplan and Teddy “yes my mother was burned alive in front of my very eyes but why would I ever deal with that when I can instead be reduced to an emotional wreck every time she is mentioned for the rest of ever” Altman? those two have never been emotionally honest a day in their fucking lives. emotionally vulnerable sure but never the fuck have they ever had a genuine discussion about their emotions. whenever they need to they just make out and pretend like that counts. do not even play with me bsf
