AU INFO I AM BEGGING YOU IT LOOKS SO COOL!!!!!!!! :0
Okay ngl I feel a little like I have mislead yall on what this au is actually about with what I’ve posted about it 😭😭 despite all of my knight!Dani posting, the actual au is a no powers vaguely medieval arranged marriage au between Teddy and Tommy, the premise being that this marriage arrangement sucks and is highkey ruining their lives. Basic plot is that Teddy is the heir to a kingdom that was torn apart by civil war and as a child was taken away to a neighboring allied kingdom, ruled by the Maximoffs, so he would be safe. He was raised there alongside Billy and Tommy and as they got older he and Billy developed feelings for each other and had a little teenage romance up until Teddy is returned to his kingdom at sixteen, fully expecting never to see Billy again. Flash forward roughly five years after Teddy’s place as king and his newly reunified kingdom have somewhat stabilized and as a show of thanks for sheltering him as a child, a marriage is arranged between him and the Maximoff kingdom……….. with the wrong twin. Cue Billy being upset and jealous that the love of his life is marrying his brother (and then hating himself for being mad because it’s not like either of them chose this), Tommy not wanting any part of this and feeling miserable that he’s making his brother (and childhood friend) miserable as WELL as dealing with the fact that he does not want this marriage, and Teddy who just feels awful that the other two are feeling awful and highkey trying to ignore his own feelings on the matter. Okay and then IN ADDITION to all that, there’s the plotline of David being the knight assigned to accompany Tommy to Teddy’s kingdom and also being Tommy’s childhood friend-turned-situationship, and when he was a teenager and a squire the knight he served was Dani, which is how we wrap back around to the aforementioned knight!Dani I’ve been drawing. Dani is also involved in the plot via Tommy (he used to run away from the palace as a kid, he never wanted to be royalty and certainly doesn’t want to spend the rest of his life like that which just makes his eventual marriage worse for him, and when he did run away Dani was who was sent to find him and bring him back (hence the angsty art of them)) and she (and all of the New Mutants) have stuff going on like, in the world even though it’s not actually involved with the main plot of the au. Yeah uhhhh so that’s the basic gist of it! Yippie hooray!!!
