OHARA - JUST NORTH OF KYOTO This video will be a bitter-sweet viewing for the folks who have been to Japan on one of our tours. We always visit the little village of Ohara, just north of Kyoto.  We shop along this same little path next to the stream, sample the pickles, sip some shiso juice, nibble on some yuzu, buy an indigo treasure...  Well, we can't be there but we can enjoy the virtual stroll... 📸福田美術館庭園 [ 京都市右京区 ] Fukuda Museum Garden, Kyoto の写真・記事を更新しました。 ーー渡月橋や嵐山⛰を借景とした現代庭園、設計はMLS,Inc. #三谷康彦 。『パンとエスプレッソと』もある嵐山の新名所！ ........ 「福田美術館」は2019年10月に嵐山にオープンした私設美術館。 葛飾北斎、円山応挙、俵屋宗達、伊藤若冲、横山大観、竹内栖鳳、上村松園…といった江戸時代～近代にかけての日本画家の作品を約1,500点所蔵し、そのコレクションから企画展が開催されています🖼現在は『大観と春草』展。 . オープン直後の昨年11月に初めて訪れ、先日再訪しました！主に晴れた夏の日の写真で紹介。 建築の設計は安田アトリエ。現代建築の中にも展示室は蔵がイメージされたり、京町家のエッセンスが踏まえられているそう。 . そして建物から川へ向かって池泉庭園があります。国の名勝・嵐山を #水鏡 として写す現代庭園でありつつも、建物東部分には伽藍石～飛び石が配された和風庭園も。 庭園の設計はMLS（Mitani Landscape Studio）・三谷康彦さん、施工は京都『南禅寺』等の御用達庭師 #植彌加藤造園 。 . MLS, Inc.（Mitani Landscape Studio）の三谷康彦さん。名前を初めて記しますが、これまで紹介した中では『京都迎賓館』や『豊田市美術館』、金沢の『鈴木大拙館』🕋のランドスケープも担当しておられます。後ろ2つは谷口吉生さん建築。 （ちなみに…このうち2つにはイサム・ノグチの共同制作パートナーもつとめた石彫家・和泉正敏さんが参加しておられるんですよね…そのディレクションはこの方がされていたのかな。） .
