Auntie Em, it’s a twista!!! The Garmin Olathe Marathon in the Land of Oz sure lived up to its name! It sure felt like a twister at times with constant winds sometimes up to 30mph! A tough day of racing for me, but I finished, and even stayed sub-3:50. So this is what happens when you research. While researching for our next vacation spot, we came to find out that, like New Mexico, Kansas also has balloon festival(s). The #SunflowerBalloonFestival is on May 11, 12, and 13th. It is not in Kansas City, but at a remote town known as Anthony, KS. We hardly venture out of Kansas City into Kansas - shame on us - so this would be fun. It is also Mother's Day, so it is Habibti's day as well. We will be spending the whole day in Anthony, KS, and will head to Hutchinson, KS for Sunday visit to @stratacaks. These are the salt mines where the original reels of all the classic and modern movies are stored. Space Museum is also close by. Stay tuned!
