📝 My most favorite part about traveling (besides food of course 😉), is embracing myself into the country’s history. I love vintage architecture & Old San Juan has just that! 📌 Make sure you check out Castillo San Felipe Del Morro. It’s an old castle with forts dating back to 1539! It also became the most successful defensive position in The New World, never being defeated by sea! 📌 I oddly admire cemeteries now but this popular cemetery, Santa María Magdalena de Pazzis, intrigued me years ago and I’m glad I’ve finally got to see it! This cemetery was built to overlook the Atlantic Ocean to symbolize spirits crossing over into the afterlife. There you can find delicious dishes, refreshing cocktails, picture worthy atmosphere and an absolutely amazing view of the beach! I met an awesome new friend on my flight who was also on a solo trip and she joined me for lunch.
