I love visual gags like this
What's the difference between country from Tennessee and folk rock from South Carolina?
The first is a genre, the second is a state. Therefore, the first is a genre, the second is a state.
Iggy, What kind of pranks do you like to play on your brothers?
I'm looking back at Heist again, and I think my most favorite visual gag that Mark has ever done for a project is Mr. Murderslaughter's desk in front of our jail cell.
Before you're thrown into the cell, Mr. Murderslaughter has the camera mostly focused on him in his office, and he's behind his desk the whole time.
Once Mark offers to have the box, we're zoomed in on Mr. Murderslaughter as he considers his options, only for him to shout "ABSOLUTELY NOT!" with this shot...
Cutting to this:
(Side note, I fucking LOVE match cuts, this one is so good!)
As the camera zooms out, we see that Mr. Murderslaughter is obviously outside of the cell, but he BROUGHT THE DESK WITH HIM?!?
AND IT'S STILL THERE ONCE HE LEAVES!
This has to be one of my most favorite visual gags ever. I don't think I could even write something this simple, and yet so funny at the same time. I'm a sucker for this stuff! I'm excited to see more visual jokes Mark wrote for Heist 2!
Good grief, he's naked...and urinating on people!
