This video has been a life saver when it has come to learning the rigging system, defiantly something that has come in handy when trying to create a similar effect with my character really easy to understand and well explained.

This video goes over the changes that i had to make to the clown character, first i tested him with the traditional clown pants however they were too hard to animate so this is the process of me going back and forth with different elements as i worked out that they needed to be tweeked. The hands and shoes were also very difficult therefore needed some changed
This is an experiment i did using the software Droik and the rigging tools that it provides! i am glad i decided to cut to just one character from 3 which was my original idea in my storyboard because just one character requires a lot of time and effort to create this effect, i am super excited to finish rigging the clown and to see what it looks like in the scene itself. in order to create this i made my character in illustrator and imported the individual layers and then set puppet pinpoints to create bones which allowed for movement.
This is the test i did learning how to use the camera feature in after effects, to do so i created a null layer and then linked it to the camera so they responded accordingly, i am very happy with the final outcome and i am planning to use it in some capacity for my final outcome. i will need to work on making sure it is not jittery but other than that its a very useful skill to have learnt.
There are many methods out there for creating digital smoke. I stumbled upon this particualr method while trying to get a soft water effect. I adjusted it a ...
I’ve decided to use this method instead of the smoke effect made in After Effects.
I didn’t know how to convert this to a youtube file, so here is a screenshot of my experimentation - It moves nicely! :)
More Refinement Notes
-Look at slowing down the beginning of the animation to emphasis emotions. -Experiment with willow branch techniques in After-Effects. -Experiment with water reflection techniques (either in After-Effects or Flash) -Experiment with smokey techniques in After-Effects. -I will have to alter my music last as I am still unsure of the timing of the animation.
Altered a couple of the scenes. I think this timeline works better.... Music still doesn’t play for what ever reason???
