It's Wine & Dine Wednesdays!!
There's so many excellent wine brands that I could blog about and share with my readers. But I decided to dedicate this week's wine post to a fairly new wine brand that not only prides itself in making delicious, refreshing wines, but also makes charitable contributions by partnering with Soles4Souls (an international shoe charity dedicated to providing shoes to those in need), who will give a pair of flip flop sandals to those in need for every bottle of wine purchased. How kind is that?
Check out FlipFlop Wines!
Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Moscato
One thing that I like about FlipFlop Wines is that they don't try to intimate wine consumers with fancy smancy wine terminology, nor do they take themselves too seriously. Instead, they just focus on "crafting expressive, well-balanced wines that evoke just what the grapes inside intended, without being over-wrought or over-explained." The great thing about FlipFlop Wines is that they can be enjoyed at any occasion, and whether you're a beginner wine drinker or an experienced wine connoisseur.
Who said drinking wine has to be uptight and serious? It should be an enjoyable, fun and memorable experience for those that indulge and appreciate the art of making and tasting great wines. (Well, at least that's my philosophy about it LOL)
Curious about who makes FlipFlop Wines? Check out Wine Vitner, James Foster, who collaborated with a team of winemakers in 2009 to create FlipFlop Wines.
James Foster stays true to each of his wine's varietal characters, while still making great tasting wines that don't break the bank. This handsome gent definitely seems to have it down when it comes to making enjoyable wines ;)
Check out FlipFlop's Moscato Wines!
Try FlipFlop's Bubbly Moscato & Traditional Moscato; and their Bubbly Pink Moscato & Traditional Pink Moscato. And in case you're wondering what to pair them with, here are a few ideas to help you out:
Moscato blends very well with Pad Thai, Chinese Chicken Salad, Fish, Vegetable Curry, Fruits, and the list goes on!
Whereas Pink Moscato tastes great with Chicken Curry, Cajun Shrimp Pasta, and a Grilled Cheese & Apple Sandwich (sounds yummy huh?)
And of course we can't forget about our fabulous reds!
Try the Pinot Noir which pairs excellent with Grilled Mahi Mahi, Bacon-wrapped Shrimp and Chocolate Chip Cookies!
And the Cabernet Sauvignon which pairs beautifully with New York Strip Steak, Spinach Ravioli, or Portobello Mushrooms.
Be sure to also try FlipFlop's other varietals!
