@rendingrosencrantz reminded me of one of my favorite stamping plates last night, Vividlacquer’s Medieval-themed plate (x), as well as Mentality’s gold stamping polish Shirin (Mentality doesn’t exist anymore, but that’s a whole other story), so I decided to do a stamping mani today.
I started off with a deep red foil, Zoya’s Sarah, topped with a coat of Hare’s Reverie in Rubellite, to give it a deep glassy or jeweled look, and then two coats of Nerdlacquer’s Glassy AF to smooth all the glitters out for a nice stamping surface. After all of that dried, I stamped it with the same stamp in different positions to give it a little variety on the nail.
I think I’d have liked it better had I used a more bold color, more red, less pink, or an emerald or deep blue or purple to show off the contrast with the gold better, but too bad. I still like it. In person, it glows and does look like brass on glass or enamel, so there’s that.
