Voltron Legendary Defender: Sensate AU (CP Warning: Sheith)

Ø Settings based on the Netflix show Sense 8 (Please check it out if u haven’t seen it, it’s the most beautiful show I ever saw) Ø For the friends who haven’t seen it: its about 8 people, who do not know each other at all and live across the world, suddenly linked by mind Ø There are sensates (a species that is different from us, homo sapiens) live among us. They are generally like us, except they can mentally linked to their kind once they meet eye to eye. This kind of link called “visit”. Ø “visit” is like visitors exist right beside the visitee, except others can not see the visitors.They can communicate, share emotion and feelings “face to face”. Note that visitor and visitee can be more than 2 people and can switch position anytime. Ø Sensates can also give birth (not in biological meaning). Give birth is a mental process, it will link 8 (-ish) other sensates into a cluster.Ø The members in cluster don’t need to meet irl to link and “visit”. And only members within clusters can share knowledge, skills, language among them. Hence to be able to do the “remote control” thingings (kinda like possess)Ø In the show, the cluster members are all born at the same time (biologically). I prefer to keep the age differences so I decide to not follow this settings. And also the number of a cluster. Ø Other settings will disclose if I come up with more story Ø Warning:CP include Shiro/Keith, maybe Lance/AlluraHaven't decided who gave birth to them so ....

Shiro:

Ø Age 26. Police (former since he is missing for one year). Japanese American

Ø Already being missing when being born into cluster.

Ø Skill set: Japanese, English, Investigation knowledge, battle experience, shooting

Ø Knew Keith before birth. They accidentally met once at a young age (without knowing anything), and start to “visit” each other rather frequently (first nonintentional, then it became part of their lives)

Ø The missing is because he was discovered as sensate and kidnapped by Galra.

Ø Finally be able to link with Keith few days after birth, and escaped under the help of Keith (remote control)

Ø Lost the memory during the kidnapping.

Keith:

Ø Age 19. Orphan. Former Ace pilot. Current outlaw. Japanese American

Ø Skill set: English, Japanese, fighting (including hand to hand combat, dagger & blade fight), shooting (minor), driving, piloting

Ø Had a hard childhood. Shiro was his only family since met. (basically all mind communication --- “visit”)

Ø Have been serving in air force as pilot for a short time. Shiro’s sudden disappearance caused discipline issues and get busted out.

Ø looking for Shiro for one year before birth, even thought he didn’t know about sensate until the birth.

Ø Became an outlaw for crimes like trespass government property etc.

Ø Join BOM at some point, without knowing the existence of Krolia.

Lance:

Ø Age 18. Cuban.

Ø Skill set: Spanish, English, socializing, tension maker

Ø Taking gap year before college.

Ø Currently in confusion for future.

Hank:

Ø Age 18. Samoan. College student

Ø Skill set: English, Samoan, cooking, engineering

Ø Major in Engineering in college.

Allura:

Ø Age 25. British

Ø Skill set: English, French, knowledge on sensate, medical knowledge

Ø Father Alfor was a cluster member with Zarkon. They once studied sensate together to better protect sensate. Killed by Zarkon years ago.

Ø Continuing Alfor’s work in Voltron with Coran.

Ø Hunted by Galra all the time and living a fugitive life

Pidge:

Ø Age 16. High school student. Italian

Ø Skill set: Italian, English, computer science, engineering, physics, hacking

Ø Growing suspicious about brother Matt’s whereabout, who is also a sensate.

Ø Sadly, can only do it at bed time with her computer, cuz she’s a teenager and no one take her seriously.

Coran:

Ø Aged 46. British. Not a sensate.

Ø Skill set: English, French, Mechanics

Ø Allura’s guardian after Alfor’s death. Supporting Allura in every way.

Voltron:

Ø An organization formed by Alfor and his cluster (including zarkon)

Ø Aim at study sensate and protecting the secrecy

Ø Almost destroyed by the clustercide by zarkon

Ø Resurrected by Allura’s sensate birth

Galra:

Ø An evil organization that hunt sensates to do experiment.

Ø End goal is to achieve immortality by transmitting one’s mind to another sensate

Ø Formed by Zarkon.

Ø Hagar is the chief scientist, can remotely control lobotomized sensate by device

Ø Has support from a lot of governments.

Blade of Marmora:

Ø A secret organization formed by sensates

Ø Aiming at dissolve Galra

Ø Members are isolated below, linked above to protect its secrecy

Ø Part of them are undercover in Galra

Ø Part of them are hunting collaborators

Ø Krolia is currently undercover

Ø Keith is mainly on hunting missions when he joins

Story Intro:

Shiro, Keith, Allura, Lance, Hank & Pidge was sensate-ly born. At first they visits others by random, and trying to figure out what is happening. The visits help members to face the obstacles in their lives and build a family bonded by mind. When their bond becomes stronger, and with Allura’s guidance, they automatically join Voltron to help fight against Galra.

After seeing so many cruel crime committed by Galra, and also the capture of Allura, they all finally meet up and plan out a rescue.

It is a really interesting setting. At early stage, the random visits can present interesting dynamics between them .People with so many differences come together to help each member figure out their life problems, no matter it life threatening crisis or annoyance in peaceful life.

like, lance ,pidge and hank immediately become friends. Keith barely ask anything from the cluster at the beginnings.
