Before their make out can get too hot and heavy, Logan pulls back, leaning his forehead against hers.

“You hungry?” He asks––rhetorically, of course.

Rolling her eyes at his chuckle, Logan opens the door for her and she climbs into the front seat. “One day I’m going to say no and really throw you for a loop.”

LOGAN AND VERONICA AU WEEK 2020

Marshmallows! We still have one of the best fandoms in existence and these characters are just too good for us to let go. In light of recent developments, many fans have turned to AUs. We need something to celebrate so LoVe AU Week is on!

Interpret the days below however you like. Use them as merely suggestions if you want. Not inspired by these prompts but you’ve got another idea? Go for it! Please feel free to post whatever you wish, whenever you wish!

Day 1: Lilly Lives

Solving her murder made Season 1 awesome, but Lilly is too fabulous to be ignored! We love fics where she lives, we love Ghost!Lilly fics, and we love fics where the memory of her is so strong she may as well be in the room. So add some red satin to your life and share your ideas with us!

Day 2: Only One Bed

We all know what happens when there’s only one bed...or do we? Whatever it is that throws them together, bed sharing is one of our favorites. Where it goes from there is up to you!

Day 3: Decent Dick

We know what you’re thinking. But Dick Casablancas has so much potential as a character. We love it when he gets a redemption arc and is less of a, well, dick. But if Decent Dick has you imagining entirely other possibilities...we’d enjoy that, too.

Day 4: Fake Dating

That Sugarpuss sure is a keeper. And so is fake dating. Maybe it’s for a case, maybe it’s to avoid a confrontation, or maybe it’s because they are pretend married spies, but whatever reason, we love it when these stubborn idiots pretend to date. Make it happen!

Day 5: Team Detecting

Logan and Veronica solving a case together. The stuff Marshmallow dreams are made of, right? It’s what we both want, and need. And we will beg for more!

Day 6: Hurt/Comfort

Come on, baby, make it hurt so good. We’re sad to see them hurting but the comfort that comes after makes it so, so worth it. Emotional, physical, or a beautiful combination of the two, we are here for it!

Day 7: Domestic Love

Laundry? Dishes? Cooking? Watching TV? Caring for a Pony? Somehow these things seem magically more interesting when Logan and Veronica are doing them together. Set it whenever you’d like but give us some fluffy moments. Date night? Walking the dog? The possibilities are endless and we want it all!

Logan isn't dead

Stick with me on this....

All season they have mentioned the strain his job has on their relationship, how veronica never knows where he is or how long he's gone for. One call and he's gone for weeks at a time.

But what if this time it's different, this time he can't tell her. He goes out to the car to move it and an inconspicuous car pulls up. The security car we see.

In it he gets his orders to leave, then the bomb goes off. He's injured, maybe his arm gets hit so bad so loses the elbow down, leaving bone fragments to make it look like he dies.

But the mission must go on, so the military take him away and he still has to complete his mission.

.....

Veronica mourns, she rages and after some time once her dad is better she leaves neptune. Pony stays with Keith and she gets the hell out of dodge.

Straight into helping the FBI, with Leo.

Two years pass and they fall into a routine, veronica moves in to his flat (separate rooms) she drives them to work, he cooks. They have a platonic marriage of sorts then one day Leo comes home drunk as a skunk saying he fucked up.

The next day veronica is called into an interview room to speak to a military spy who had been under cover with rebels in the Middle East.

He had requested her personally.

Sitting opposite her, his arms (one prosthetic, one just as muscular as the day he died) crossed against his chest, a small smirk on his lips was Logan.

Her Logan.

Who she promptly punchs in the jaw.

@kayte76 is one of the most enthusiastic vm fanfic readers, she's a consistent reviewer, and a LoVe cheerleader of the highest order. She's also a great writer! This preseason story goes alternate universe fairly quickly. It focuses mainly on the summer before 8th grade (9th grade for Lilly). It's a wholesome story about friendships and the family you choose. Some canon details happen earlier here, like Lianne leaving, some canon stories are avoided all together (no Duncan x Veronica here folks!) While the story focuses on friendship and young love, the characters we know and adore are recognizable and in character, they just don't have as much angst to deal with. Of course, it is Neptune so it's not all fluff and fun. There are some dark moments that shift the timelines a bit for the kids. The story is very well written and an easy read.

My favorite part was Veronica trying to figure out what tiny blonde Logan had a crush on! Oh V!

This story covers the events of season 1 beginning when Veronica follows Lynn from school to the bridge. Veronica and Logan work on their friendship first. They are a team. They build trust. They start dating earlier than in canon, but it's healthier from the start. This story has a fantastic Keith/Logan dynamic. With a positive male role model at this point in his story Logan shows great growth and maturity, he makes better choices. His friendship with Carrie Bishop is one I particularly like. There are some great Wallace/Logan moments too. Veronica is better when she has a partner in crime (fighting)! She learns to respect both Logan and Keith when making choices involving her safety. Some images that had stuck with me upon rereading 3 years later: a gazebo, a duck pond, candles in a fountain, Aunt Jan, pool parties with Carrie, Wallace, and Mac, a terrifying twist towards the end, Weevil comes through for Lynn, and then a bit of a cliff hanger that makes me think a sequel isn't entirely outside the realm of possibility! A great season 1 fix it fic that you didn't realize you needed!

@bryrosea has an uncanny ability to get inside Logan's head and share it with us. She wanted Logan's POV from the movie and couldn't find one, so she wrote one! I was amazed to learn it was her first fanfic! I'm glad she continued since she is one of my favorite VM authors! So, if you've always wondered what Logan was thinking throughout the movie, read this series!
