Hi. I also have a question. In one video I saw them all at one (radio? ) Interview sat and fan questions that came over call came answered. One fan said he saw Tae in a cafe. Tae then replies that he was there with Jimin. RM then responds with a "Why are you doing this?" I don't know if that's just taken out of context in the video but the question is. Why does RM say this? There is nothing reprehensible about drinking coffee together. Thanks :)
Ah yes, a classic. Personally I really love this interview, and I also keep coming back and wondering specifically about Namjoon’s reaction. It’s from october 2016 on Jimin’s birthday actually - Cultwo Show BTS Variety Shows
Taehyung during this time was very Jimin centric and shameless I must remind you... It was fun times. And for me I always remember this interview fondly as one of the first I watched.
To me this can be read in three ways that I think makes the most sense (unless is miss something because of the language). I might also just not be able to guess properly... :P
The first is that Namjoon simply think Tae was rude to the fan, by basically dismissing everything they said and just mention Jimin. Or perhaps not even rude, but simply as an odd reply to the fan’s story.
The second might be that saying Jimin was there implies the fan only saw Tae and it can kind of be a bit like saying “they didn’t even notice Jimin even though he was there.” This kind of matches with the jokes that follows and Jimin almost looking a bit insulted. And also the fact that Jimin had been teased a lot for the whole show... Even though I don’t think teasing Jimin was Taehyung’s intention, it’s possible it might have come across as that.
The third option, which seems to work with other examples of Namjoon reacting to Vmin, might suggest he was surprised and doesn’t think Tae should talk about it for whatever reason. If so likely out of privacy reasons...
Namjoon’s reaction is interesting, and while it could have other reasons I wouldn’t be too surprised if this is another one of Namjoon’s weird reactions to Vmin telling or showing “too much”. Basically an over reaction is what we are getting, and getting it from Namjoon who many times have reacted a bit over the top to Vmin things, it could be something similar here as well.
Either way, it shows Vmin were together at the café, spending time together the last day of Chuseok. Cheongdam is also basically the most expensive area in Seoul, and is a popular place to spot famous people. (I always imagine Vmin going to watch a movie as well in the theatre above the café.) It’s a cute little date for Vmin that we know about. It was good times. <3
You can watch this part at 28 minutes, but honestly I think this is an interview worth watching in full if you have the time. :)

In BTS Responds to Hits 97.3, they were asked what their fave song in BE was. I found it funny that before answering Jimin looked at V first, @5:11. He said his fave was Life Goes On. It seems he was teasing V that he would say Blue and Grey but didn't haha. But in their Bangtan Bomb Jimin did say Blue and Grey is really one of his faves. So cute. Actually all the members really liked the song, and I cannot with Jin, he's a Blue and Grey enthusiast! We really stanned a great group supporting e/o

Honestly, I wonder if Jimin was actually going to say “Fly to My Room”, but decided not to. B&G could be an option, too. But I’m just thinking about their inside jokes about FTMR, and maybe that’s why he looks at Taehyung before answering, but then decides to answer with LGO. No way to know. (It’s also annoying because the video messes up right at that point, but oh well.)
And yes. I live for Jin being the biggest Blue and Grey enthusiast out here.

Ah yes, I am pretty sure it’s from 4th army zip magazine (2017).
They describe the relationships of the members by writing (or drawing) on the lines between them.
I have no idea what Vmin tried to say with their answers, but they are a bit different for sure. Sometimes I don’t get why they have such a hard time describing each other. Or maybe they are just playing around. We have after all seen them use “plain pottery” and “idiot idiot idiot just an idiot...” to describe each other so...
But it’s cute so I’ll allow it for now. ..^^..
Hey i recently came across a written document of an interview in korean where vmin were asked what kind of friend they were to each other. Jm says they have truly bcome friends now tho earlier there was a wall btw them and v brought it down and gets shy about it and v also says he used to have lot of frnds in his school but now jm is his friend with whom he has deep converstaions with. Do u know when and where this is from?
Hi, I think this is the interview you are talking about, and I think it’s from ARMY kit 4. Meaning the interview is likely done somewhere in the first half of 2017.
I always wonder what that wall is, but it’s obviously something private, so I don’t think we will know, even if they have kind of mentioned it a few times they never really say what it is. Just that they had differences but that it changed and that it was a lot thanks to Taehyung “breaking that wall”. Jimin also seem a bit flustered (though it’s text so who knows the true connotation). I want to remind you that despite them not “feelings close” they were still chosen as the closest in BTS a few times before this.
I think it’s just so interesting how Vmin always keep talking about getting closer and closer, because I think it shows they really want that. Despite already being soulmates, they still feel they will keep on learning and getting closer. It’s true love and effort honestly. <3

Vmin “Everyday life”
Ok, so I might just be speaking out of some weird paranoia here, but I wanted to talk about it. If I’m wrong I’ll just keep this as a reminder that my mind likes to play tricks on me. So fair warning, this whole post might just be me over analyzing things.
Thing is that recently we have heard a lot about BTS showing their everyday life, most prominently in “BTS In the Soop” and in the upcoming “Break the silence” movie. Now the reason I bring this up is because of Vmin’s reactions to some of these things.
Of course, to begin with it seems we can at least look forward to quite a lot of Vmin in the Soop. Similar to Bon Voyage they seem to spend quite a lot of time together when they can. They also seem to end up sharing a house/room/bed? Though we still don’t know 100% it seems likely.
It also seems likely the time Vmin played games together on Tae’s account was from In the Soop. Which I guess makes it another time when Vmin don’t share private time, but rather shows something people will see through their schedules.
In this selca from In the Soop it seems Vmin might have been awake at night listening to music and just enjoying time together. Not sure we will get to see this specific moment, but again, most likely they shared a room and maybe even bed.
And not to be that person, but EVERY time BTS has been allowed to choose their roommate since the episode in Canada where Vmin accidentally ended up together (aka the first time we saw them share on camera since 2016), Vmin has shared a room. So if they do it now as well, let’s just say they seem to prefer to share if they can.
Anyways, my point here is that the slogan for the show is “Somewhere between everyday life and vacation.” meaning we get to see BTS as close to comfortably themselves as possible.
The song Vmin recommended in combination with their selca “Bruno Major - Nothing” also fits the theme very well. Just them being together, not really doing anything.

Anyways, the show will likely give us some more domestic and sweet Vmin, but what really got me thinking wasn’t In the Soop. Because we know how Vmin usually are during Bon Voyage and this is quite similar. No, what got me thinking we might get to see more of Vmin together just enjoying their free time together is from a few of the recent Dynamite interviews, specifically when they have gotten questions about the movie “Break the silence”.
I have seen all the gifs, but not many seem to talk about the context and timing of what Vmin is doing. This again could just be me over thinking it, but I wanted to at least get the question out there. Because I think we might get to see Vmin together more from now on... Hopefully.

In this interview we get a question of what we can expect to see on screen for Break the Silence. (A question they likely had on their list of questions to get asked, because a lot of interviews brought it up.) The point is that as they get the question Vmin whisper something to each other.
And then Jimin does this as Jin explains they will show how they enjoy their free time while on tour.
I mean, maybe we won’t get to see anything, but it’s interesting with the timing of what Vmin is doing and the question/explanation.
It’s a very cute moment and Vmin have truly shown us why they usually don’t sit together. But again, this focus on “a glimpse into their day to day lives”.
But just this wouldn’t be enough to really think something might be up, after all Jimin is clingy all the time… But it’s not just this.
BTS Talks Life in Quarantine, VMAs Performance, and More
In this interview, once again they are asked about the movie, and Tae is the one to answer. Not only is what he says interesting in itself, but again, Jimin is touching him. So, there will definitely be some genuine stories never told before...
Please Jimin, tell us, what is Tae hiding in his heart? What genuine stories are BTS going to share with us?
And I don’t know why people aren’t talking more about this next one.
BTS talks Dynamite, life in quarantine & the future of their music...
So here they get asked about life in quarantine and how they spend their time now when they have more of it. And Tae does something here I haven’t seem him do in a long time, but that reminds me so much of the old shameless Tae.
He asks Jimin specifically, what he is doing during his free time, and not only that... They are holding hands. Because of course they are. But I only see people talk about them holding hands, not when they were holding hands and what they were talking about.
Now, remember this was about their free time… And Suga and JK talked about playing the guitar etc. Jimin takes his time to answer, and when he does it is kind of a non answer and still work related.
Then the attention shifts to Suga but Vmin keep holding hands.
I just found it interesting that Tae specifically asked Jimin, and I still don’t understand why they held hands. Especially as they kept doing it, unlike most times when it’s just a hand shake or similar for a moment. It wasn’t brief because they kept doing it for at least a minute.
People also talk about Tae’s expression, and though I know he has a stern looking neutral face it also wouldn’t surprise me if he is a bit disappointed with Jimin’s answer for some reason. I think Tae wanted something from Jimin here, but Jimin avoided it.
There are some other small reactions to the questions about the movie in other interviews as well, but these three are the ones I feel really make we wonder what we might get. Because they keep talking about “some real revelations” for the movie as well... I still expect it to be similar to the other documentaries we have got, so I don’t know how much new things we will really learn.
But it does seem as since last year Vmin has been more open in general, which is a great thing that we get to keep seeing more and more. After Friends and Bon Voyage 4 and everything since I don’t know if there is new heights to reach, but I just wanted to talk about this a little as I couldn’t help but notice their behavior. Basically I think we might get more Vmin in Break the Silence.
These moments might be nothing at all, and it’s still just a few examples and Vmin also sit next to each other, so maybe it’s just because they happened to sit together or something. I’ll try to keep expectations low, but I still find Vmin’s reactions interesting. So I guess we’ll see.

EDIT: So Break the silence didn’t have anything at all, so maybe their reactions was just completely unrelated to the movie. Either way I guess we will see if we will keep getting more moments of Vmin as time goes.

Just in relation to your post about Vmin/jikook - watch the new Time magazine video. The interaction between jungkook and Jimin is on camera - they knew they could be seen. The part where Jimin was rubbing his head on tae was a behind the photo shoot scene. They may not have been aware there were cameras shooting them setting up the scene. It’s things like that, that make me 🤔 over Vmin. It’s the small personal things they do when they think no one is looking that get me.
About this (x) interview.
I think they were well aware of the cameras in both moments, but both of them seem to be really natural interactions. I think Jimin was laughing during the photo shoot scene, and he sort of clung to Taehyung because that’s what he does when he laughs. He tends to throw himself around and cling to who’s close by.
Let me clarify and say the reason I think they were aware of the cameras in the photo shoot scene is because they’re already lined up at the moment you mention. It’d be pretty weird to line them up before the cameras were ready to go.
The little Vmin moment that did stand out to me, however, was when Taehyung was differentiating them from the Beatles, and he said “We’re seven” and Jimin stated that he was going to say the same thing. He then points to Taehyung and then to himself. Which is really cute, and like...I don’t know. It’s like he was amazed that he and Taehyung had the same thought (this why we’re soulmates or great minds think alike or something), but I’m sure all of them were thinking it. It’s just adorable that Jimin was so moved by the fact that Taehyung stated the (obvious) same thing he was thinking. 😂

Hi and thanks for the ask. It's actually quite common that people misunderstand Vmin being high school friends as them knowing each other before BTS. But that's not the case.
Jimin joined Big Hit as a trainee last out of the boys. Taehyung had already lived in the dorm for almost a year together with the other members at that point. So everyone knew each other before Jimin even came to Seoul.
Jimin auditioned in 2011 and came to the dorm in May 2012. The first member he met was J-hope and all the members had already seen Jimin dance on video. When Yoongi first saw what Jimin looked like he thought "this person must either be really good at dancing or singing" because Jimin's looks weren't very idol like.
The first time Jimin met Taehyung he was naked except for his red underwear. But because of Taehyung's easygoing nature he managed to make Jimin feel at ease and the two of them together with Jungkook slept together (only in underwear) that night.
However when Jimin finally did come to Seoul he transefered to the same school as Taehyung. So they went there together and Taehyung introduced Jimin to his friends and told them to take care of Jimin. Jimin has mentioned how much Taehyung took care of him and helped him in the early days.
They weren't in the same classroom but thanks to Taehyung being popular he also had friends in Jimin's class. They often hung out together during lunch etc. and usually left together to go to practice and schedules after school. They also got some common friends that they hung out with on their free time.
Sorry, you probably didn't ask for a whole history lesson. But basically people seem to mistake Vmin being high school friends as them knowing each other before becoming trainees. Which obviously isn't the case.
I'm glad you asked though, because I see people think this quite a lot.
I love that Vmin are the same age and also went to the same school. I really think it made them closer and we often hear little anecdotes from their trainee school days.
So yeah, Vmin were high school friends but they did not know each other before the others, but rather met when Jimin became a trainee.
