🎮💥 Looking for Collaborators for a Visual Novel Project! 💥🎮

Hey everyone! I'm currently working on a visual novel called No Saints in Charming — a crossover fanfiction-inspired game combining the worlds of Sons of Anarchy and Peaky Blinders. It's gritty, emotional, character-driven, and full of high-stakes family drama, romance, loyalty, and violence.

🌹 The Story: Roxanna "Roxy" Blackwood (née Shelby) has been living under a false identity in Charming — hiding the fact that she's Tommy Shelby's little sister. But when she falls for Jax Teller and throws herself between his son and danger, everything explodes. Her secret identity, her connection to one of the most dangerous criminal families in the world, and the collision between SAMCRO and the Peaky Blinders? It's all about to blow wide open.

💥 Why This Matters: This is more than just fanservice. It’s a fully plotted, character-rich narrative with emotional depth, worldbuilding, and choices that matter. It explores loyalty, love, power, identity, and what it means to survive when you come from legacy and violence.

🎨 What I’m Looking For: I'm currently seeking someone who’s familiar with or willing to work in Ren'Py, Unity (VN style), or Visual Novel Maker to help bring this to life. I’m open to hobbyists, students, or creators who just want to be part of something cool.

✨ I’m funding this myself, so the budget is small — but I’m willing to work something out for your time (a modest fee or revenue share if the game performs well). Everyone involved will receive full credit and support. This is a passion project with serious heart, and I want it to shine.

While they were playing inside the archives, the two siblings found an old map hidden in one of the pages of an old book. Elendav was so curious about it that she begged Eliukel to find the treasure with her. As they set out on the adventure, Ailelli saw the two and decided to join the party. Obviously, Eliukel would want nothing more than just to get home as soon as possible.

The story takes place in the fictional world of Solmia, where solms are the main factor that determines a person’s worth and value. There are 5 main countries in Solmia, and so far most of my characters are all currently living in Erimead Kingdom. This kingdom is also known as the kingdom of elites.

Here’s some character illustrations of Ailelli, Eliukel, Keon and Encienté! These are what they looked like 6 years ago in the story. Ailelli and Eliukel are still 12 yrs. old and are students of Encienté while Keon’s a knight-in-training. I actually forgot to draw Elendav on this batch but she doesn’t have much involvement in the story yet since she’s usually at home reading most of the time. She’s being homeschooled and as a genius, she’s also helping their parents with their research.

So here's the trio once again: Eliukel, Elendav and Ailelli are spending a typcial day sitting leisurely under the tree by the Lake Clefintore. Elendav is happily sharing the things she read from her book to Eliukel and Ailelli. It will probably last for hours until she finish her lecture, but Eliukel and Ailelli have already been used to it by now.

For the past years, I've been trying to work on my story called "Solm Quest". I've always wanted to make a visual novel but I haven't really gotten around to doing it until recently. So here I’ll be posting sketches and stuff to keep track on my progress ^^ I’ll be starting with some character sketches. This was the first designs I made for Eliukel, Elendav and Ailelli. And from here a lot of revisions were done, some were retained and some were altered but their color palettes remained the same!

EVALUATION OF VNPROJECT

This was probably the easiest project for me as I chose something that I could easily do and do well with the UI. I really liked what I produced for it, even the unused assets where really nice and all fit in the different kinds of aesthetics I was going for.

My design was based off modern text box and chatboxes that we see everywhere. I did this because the game is about phones so its highly relevant and fits in. In general modern textbox design is rectangular with triangles so incorporated that into my final assets. This left me with a really clean UI which communicated that it was modern and I decided to keep it compact as to not obstruct the back ground but I made sure that the text would still be clearly visual. 

Working in photoshop to create the assests was really easy and I skipped any sketching stages due to the speed at which you can make prototypes in it. This allowed me to progress quickly and end up with a lot of designs that I then picked the final one out of and then just tweaked it keeping in mind the platform ( iPad ) so that it would be better on the end user experience. 

Working in a group was interesting as it aloud me to focus on just one part rather than working on part of it all which is the superior option to everyone just chipping in on each part of it. It felt much more professional being able to contribute my skill than trying to add to something I didn't have any ideas about. 

Overall this project was interesting especially in the terms of looking into how to keep a consistent aesthetic throughout a body of work. The end product is really interesting in concept and execution.

Dropbox link for all of the Royalty Free music I chose for the VN. I decided that it would be best for it to have a more jazzy ambient kind of sound to it rather than anything dramatic or more high tension. I think I picked out well as they all have different benefits. Im going to make a different post about the tracks I tried to make myself because they are not going to well at all right now.
