August 1965. 'Aware. Aware of swinging hair. Set to swing with you VO5 Hair Setting Lotion.'
Hey guys,
Since it’s been over a month since I dyed my hair red and when I did my original post I got a few comments asking how I keep a semi permanent hair dye fresh. So for those who don’t know I use a semi permanent LOreal Casting Creme Gloss (£6.99) in the shade Cherry Red which is a gorgeous bright red shade.
I’ve been using this dye on my hair for years and when I first started I had the issue that some shampoo and conditioners ended up stripping the colour out of my hair because it wasn’t permanent dye. Annoyingly over the years I’ve made this mistake once or twice which as you can imagine is such a pain. Usually when I get a hair dye for the few washes I’ll just use a colour protect shampoo and the conditioner included with the dye. But once they running run out I use my V05 duo.
This duo has been my holy grail for about 3 years plus now whether I have dyed hair or not. Dying your hair whether it’s semi permanent or straight up permanent your hair does get a little dry so it took me a while but I found the combo of shampoo and conditioner where it doesn’t strip the colour and leaves my hair really soft. Vo5 Cherish My Colour shampoo/ Conditioner are made with 5 luscious Vital Oils Argan, Jojoba, Apricot, Avocado and Grapeseed oil which are designed to nourish and protect your hair. Both products are a bargain and only cost £2.99 each which is a total bargain in itself. Every time I use these products my hair ends of looking brighter, feeling softer and looking healthier without fail.
If I do my hair a bright colour like these I tend to dye my hair every 8-10 weeks and since it’s the casting Creme gloss you can use it a little more frequently then a permanent dye. But using these products I usually don’t have to re-dye my hair until 12-14 weeks if I want to leave it a little while and it still looks amazing. You can still use these products if you dye your hair with permanent dye or bleach as well if basically works with all types of dyed hair!
So if you want to treat your dyed hair to some haircare this shampoo and conditioner combo is amazing and leaves your looking and feeling great. Vo5 is available at most drugstore and hair are locations.
Lots of love
