Darcy was starting to notice a patern here. Being left by herself, to her work and her not-work. All alone. With Friday.

She paused her reading (of the same paragraph that she had tried to read at least three times, she was making marvelous advance here, really) to look around at her tiny little corner of the office and the lack of… Company.

She missed Jane. A lot. They both tended to work late into the evening, what with both of them not having social lives, and now her best friend was still mia (no texts, Darcy was so going to pinch her for it) and had a boyfriend available (sorta) so Darcy was the only one left to work. Waaay into the evening. Lovely.

She pushed and sorted her papers again for something to with her hands and to move out of her funk, both bare feet on the cool floor now there was no one around to notice. Maybe she should join a forum or something…
