i find myself still touching my lips as my brain reminds me that it takes 7 years for your skin to renew itself, so it doesn’t matter how many people i kiss between now and then. these lips will still have touched yours, and i don’t know how to deal with the fact that one day my body will forget you but my heart never will.
Can you do a Toddy blurb? With “Can we just get drunk and kiss a lot and not think for a while?” From the vodka thoughts tag ?
Drunken State
Hopefully you like what I did with the request! I really tried. I followed @blossomfully vodka thoughts. I may be a huge idiot idrk. I tried tho. Enjoy.
I had just gotten out of a huge relationship with somebody I thought was going to be my forever. What happens in Vegas does not always stay in Vegas, which I happened to learn the hard way. I just wanted to get out of that shared apartment as fast as I possibly could so I just grabbed my car keys and phone.
I probably shouldn’t have been driving given that I was crying so much the tear impaired my vision, but I made it over to Todd’s house uninjured. He was my best friend, who I’ve always secretly had feelings for but never thought I was good enough looking to be with him.
As I entered the house, I went into the kitchen, grabbed every bottle of vodka that was in the cabinets, and headed for Todd’s room. With my purse over my shoulder, the bottles of vodka tucked up under my arms, and smudged mascara, I leaned up against the doorway and swung open the door.
“Let’s get drunk, let’s make out, and not think about anything until morning.”
The hot, muscular, dark haired boy happily obliged, taking a bottle from my arm, unscrewing the lid, and taking a swig, “Let’s do it.” He offered me the open bottle and I poured a shocking amount of the liquid into my mouth.
With that, I ran my hands up his neck, and brought his head down to mine, where I could smell upcoming mistakes on his breath. Did I care? Not at all. He closed the gap between our mouths and did what he did best.

The next morning I woke up in an empty bed, fully clothed, which gave me a little bit of relief. As I was about to get up, get freshened up a little bit, and try to figure out what I was going to do with the rest of my life, a pounding headache violently stopped me in my tracks.
Fuck. A hangover. I should’ve known this was going to happen especially when I said “let’s get drunk, makeout, and not think for a while.”
Todd walks in the door and smiles when he sees I woke up. “Hey, uh, as much as I enjoyed last night we should probably talk about why you came over.”
“My boyfriend cheated on me in Vegas.”
“Ohh ouch. What happens in Vegas does not always stay in Vegas...” he trailed off
I laughed, “Haha, thank you. At least I’m not the only one who thinks that.”
“I really enjoyed last night. I’m not sure if I should be saying this right now, but I really did.”
“Wait so...you don’t think I’m not good enough to be with you?” I question.
“Good enough?”
“Good enough looking?” Todd sighs. “Okay Toddy, look, you look amazing and your funny. You are always with some model or celebrity and I’m just some random girl who is trying to support herself through her last year of college...I’m definitely not your type, so why did you enjoy last night?”
“Y/n, you are amazing. You don’t have to have all the looks to be my girlfriend. You have to be independent and it’s always a plus when the person is my best friend who’s always there for me at the drop of a hat.”
I couldn’t help but smile. He reached down and kissed me just like he did last night but with more lust and sober passion than drunk. I reached my hands up and curled them around the nape of him neck deepening this kiss. A repeat of last night happened in the sober daytime.
I’m going to paris. The most romantic city in the world. The one place I’ve always wanted to go. I should be ecstatic but there’s one thing on my mind. I should be going with you. I should be going with you.
"i'm breaking inside, and i'm trying to be fine, but i'm not. my heart is trying to claw it's way out of my chest, shoving my lungs aside and breaking my ribs, tearing at my skin, just trying to get away from this, but this heartbreak is eternal. my mind knows what my heart cannot; running is futile. the pain will be there, in the tears that gloss my lips, the bruises on my fists, and the memories of your back, walking away, replaying in my head. but how is it that, even though you're right next to me, I still feel the same? this loneliness and despair will crush me, but I'm still fighting, one breath at a time. one breath at a time."
