There's a line in the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire book that (of course) wasn't in the movie in any way. For context, it's when Harry's getting judged for the first task. He and Ron have just patched things up after having fallen out for a while and Karkaroff gives Harry a 4/10 while all the other judges gave him at least an 8. Ron gets really mad at him over it and then there's this line:
"But Harry didn't care, he wouldn't have cared if Karkaroff had given him zero; Ron's indignation on his behalf was worth about a hundred points to him."
I've been thinking about it ever since. It's such a beautiful highlight of their friendship and just a very sweet line in general.
