Hey everyone. I thought I might as well write this up to inform everyone about the happenings regarding Voiceiyuu. I know a lot of you have been asking questions or were interested in Voiceiyuu, which warms my heart dearly. Voiceiyuu is a great company and was a big stepping stone for me in my career. I hope it does well in the future.
However, as of August 4th, the American connections with Voiceiyuu have been dissolved.
It really broke my heart and I'm still extremely sensitive to the event, being that I spent more than 2 years with the company, but because of the path Voiceiyuu was going and the path the talents were going, it was the best decision to separate and form our new company, Cylight Studios, and give Voiceiyuu completely back to the sole care of Dave Soltura in the Philippines.
This being said, I, along with key members and executive leaders of Voiceiyuu, no longer are in control nor have any knowledge about the happenings within Voiceiyuu anymore, including membership applications.
"But Michaela, what will happen to Seduce Me?!"
Nothing =3 Seduce Me will still be made, but the credit is still in the air. It will still be a Seraphim Entertainment and Michaela Laws production, but I'm still in discussions about running it through Cylight instead of Voiceiyuu or just not having an audio credit at all, since the actors are all contracted as free-lance actors.
"Michaela, does this mean you'll only cast your projects through Cylight now?"
No. In regards to any projects I personally create, regardless if they are Cylight related or not, if I am not writing for specific people (I.E. an upcoming Otome CD Choose Me), I will now be casting projects, whether that means using tumblr/VAA/VAC or the like, in Open Auditions.
"Michaela, can I join Cylight?"
Unfortunately I have no jurisdiction or real informative knowledge over that. However, I know that we no longer have a membership program. Cylight is a post-production company and will essentially scout/hire on for mainly audio talent (VA's and Composers) as free-lance contacts as well as keep them in a contact pool for other projects. As for art, I don't know.
