Differences Between the Void/s and the Underworld/s
The following information is gained from a more Gnostic and oracular flow state- through Sight, Knowing and information that was gained therein. While this information does align with deeper truths, it is -as with everything, only from a singular perspective- of which there are likely many more pieces and perspectives to, in order to have a more a complete picture- and this is the nature of the work and precision of particular insight I provide here.
To start with both the voids and the underworlds exist on multiple layers, mainly I will be referencing 3 layers (though there are more). The realms of the outer multiversal realms(OMR), the realms of the inner multiversal realms (ISW) and those internal realms that exist within each of us- in our internal domains- especially as we currently exist on this earthen plane and the inner multiversal realms. The inner spiritual realms Underworlds and Voids are mirrored to an extent- internally in each of us.
Differences and Similarities with Void and Underworld Journeys
The following is the gnostic flow state (therefore I do not particularly elucidate here what an underworld journey is exactly in a more psychological model or spiritual model, nor on what power hunting is etc- it is assumed information already expected to be known, and of course there are multiple viewpoints on what it may entail).
Underworld Journeys - like the ideas of the classic “Descent of Inanna” myth or shamanic journeys to the lower plane/underworld realm- of the “world tree”- ( shamanic underworld journeys may include such things as soul retrieval or dealing with underworld chthonic beings- from a shamanic perspective) include death and rebirth themes. In such; as in after undergoing these journeys there is a return to the living realms with renewed sense of self- and a feeling of more completeness. These can often be healing journeys as well. Underworld Journeys can be in the internal “underworlds” -so may be more psychological in nature and perhaps involve some form of internal power hunting and excavation of lost or hidden power. Or they can be journeying to external ISW (inner spiritual/multiversal realms) underworld planes- so going to actual realms of underworld like Yomi, the Duat, Diyu, Helheim, Mictlān etc- which is more in line with shamanic way of seeing and doing things. These external ISW journeys often involve such things as soul retrieval or communing with the dead of all kinds- or perhaps seeking wisdom of ancestors etc. The ISW and inner internal worlds can and do overlap as the actual external ISW realms can be mirrored by the internal more psychological journey and there is a mystery to this as well.
In Void journeys- The void often is a stripping of energy and the journeys can be about obtaining power of some kind or revealing what is at core of something. These void journeys can be very drastic and very harsh- there is no guarantee of return and even if one returns- then there is no guarantee of a return to “completeness,” or feelings of such- upon finishing the journey. But it does change you- of that you can be certain. Void journeys can be like Da’ath or crossing the abyss- (maybe similar to a “dark night of soul”- only more severe perhaps then regular underworld journeys.) A key difference between the void and the underworlds is the underworld basically guarantees rebirth especially in Inner multiversal realms (ISW). In OMR not so much- but is unlikely anyone ever encounters that as a human. Whereas the void does not guarantee rebirth, since void is emptiness (and creation in some ways). While void and underworld can cross over and overlap in their journeys- there is a distinct difference in energy. There is also the OMR void (which is very dangerous), the Inner multiversal realms’(ISW) void realms and internal voids apparent to each individual person. In Inner multiversal realms(ISW) the void/s can be sometimes thought of as return to Oneness (maybe even likened to Tao somewhat).
So, the internal (individuals) void- is not really used for journeying as such. It is like “blank mind” in meditation and Stillness. Though through this one can go internal enough to be external- (mystery) but the internal void mirrors again; the external ISW void. To journey in/to the Void one needs to go external - as to move through it. Void may be similar to a harsher version of underworld especially if one is journeying through it. Because it is so stripping, whereas underworld is often more about excavating. The very nature of the void (and to an extent void energy can be too) is stripping - so simply by being there; it strips and breaks down (especially the White Void- is extremely corrosive to any energy and breaks it all down- to return back to “nothingness”). In the void, it is not so much a choice as to what is stripped from you or given up/over. Whereas the underworlds you may have more control and precision over what is lost/given up in the journey. Of course, there may be certain like “law” in underworld that certain things must be given up or to gods etc and that is non-negotiable. Whereas the void realms - it just automatically does it and there is no or next to no control over what is gone- such is it entropic and “corrosive” nature.
However, void (more so the black voids) also contain life and lots of creative potential- which can be very chaotic as well- as though it houses the primordial chaos of creation and so void energy and its presence in the void realms can be used for creation. Which is primarily why these void journeys can be used for power hunting. If the void realms are used for creation- (ie planting seeds in void of something to come to fruition) it is very powerful. There is also a differentiation between the Void (as in the void realms) and the void (as in void energy). Void realms are made of and contain void energy. Though Void energy can be worked with and used without being in the void realms. However, creation in the void- is more likely being in the void realms- while void energy can lend itself to creation, it is more powerful and effective if being in the void realm (and fairly literally planting seeds.) By the act of planting seeds can also be mirrored in the internal void as well- since they are connected. Of course, the OMR Void is not connected to the ISW void/s nor the Internal personal voids of humans. It is different entirely; OMR beings or OMR souled beings may have internal connection to those OMR voids if that is their alignment or where their soul originates, but not all do- since the outer realms multiverses(OMR) are disconnected in a way ISW is not and it works differently.
(IMR/ISW) Underworlds however tend to focus more on terrestrial matters, whereas void and void journeys do not really have that tie.
Finally, as an aside- for a query of; can one do power hunting in internal voids?
The internal void is a point of stillness and in that place; realisations of persons essential nature may become apparent (and therein it can be seen as sometimes realisation of power or certain hidden power uncovered). But this is different from Power Hunting. I perceive and consider that Power Hunting is something that is done in external ISW voids- like Da’ath or crossing the abyss. If it is “practiced” on a more internal level- if it can be - then this process is not really the same thing as usual Power Hunting as such, since internal void is stillness.
That said though Void and underworld journeys (both ISW and internal personal) can and do overlap in areas as well. It is not necessarily so strictly encapsulated. But it should be noted that there are specific differences as well.
