Kaladin is everything Gavilar wanted to be but never could. The first five books opened on the death of a man who wished to herald the return of the Radiants to Roshar, and the back five could open on the revival of the man who will.

ohhhhhh I just had a thought. so we assume in the back half each book will have flashbacks for a specific character, as they’ve been doing. But what if the flashbacks don’t center around things that happen before the books, but instead in the ten year time gap? I mean, we already know the pasts of most of the protagonists do it would make sense
