Reincarnated

AU where the Voltron team (plus others) are the reincarnated versions of the characters from Merlin. Notes: Takes place in a universe where Merlin reincanates too. This is more based on character traits than personalities, nature vs nurture and all that. Also, shipping has nothing to do with it

Keith/Merlin - HERE ME OUT! Mysterious parent is mysterious. Is a good guy, but has a lot in common with the bad guys. Will cheerfully murder you because you touched their loved ones! Has that one good friend who’d they die for that seriously should stop trying to give them a heart attack! A dork.

Lance/Arthur - Insecurities, but tries to hide it. Beautiful (that counts right?). Self-sacrificing. A literal puppy. Family oriented. Inherent need to bicker with Keith/Merlin despite the fact he clearly does care about him and respects his opinions. Bisexual (I stand by this!!!!)

Shiro/Lancelot - NEEDS TO STOP FLIPPING DISAPPEARING/DYING!!!!!!! I love you, but no. Literal knight in shinning armor. Kuron = Wraith. Would be Keith/Merlin’s besty and confidant but woops, he’s gone again! Seriously! STOP! Precious cinnamon rolls who have been thrown in the trash because life is terrible.

Allura/Gwen - Literal queens in every sense of the word. Need I say more?

Hunk/Percy - Precious cinnamon rolls who aren’t given anywhere near enough time to have actual characters.

Pidge/Gwain - FIGHT ME ON THIS, I DARE YOU! Doesn’t respect authority unless they earn that respect. Secrets about who they really are. Will go through hell for their loved ones. Doesn’t want the team at first, but comes to realize that’s where they belong.

Zarkon/Uther - Went evil because he loves his wife... yeah. Nice motive, still murder. Lots and lots of murder.

Coran/Giaus - Loving exposition uncle. Fondly remembers the days before Zarkon/Uther was evil.

Haggar/Morgause - A literal witch. Also with a b. Uses and abuses for her own self interests. Maybe cares about her fam, but it’s kinda sketchy.

Lotor/Morgana - Jerk. Cold and calculating. Daddy issues? Definitely not following in Zarkon/Uther’s footsteps at least. Evil like daddy, just in a different way basically. Some issues came up while taking over, but that can be beaten into submission.

Acxa/either Aithusa or Mordred - Connection to Lotor/Morgana, but also connection to Keith/Merlin? TBD.

Kolivan/Kilgarrah - A dick, but not a complete one, with a connection to Keith/Merlin’s past.

Matt/Elyan - bros? Also hasn’t been given enough time to have a decent character. Disappeared for awhile there.
