Hello if you've been looking through the liar uncover the truth tags, you may have heard of some discord servers currently working on archiving Liar before it shuts down November 30th. I'm a part of those servers and I'm reaching out to tumblr to see if anyone has what we've got left
Common Reasons for Being Unable to Archive That I'm Just Gonna Get Out of the Way Rn
I can't get audio on the recordings
not a high priority
depending on your device, we can troubleshoot that/find alternatives
I don't have time to record right now
While most of it is recording, yes, we also accept screenshots especially for missing events and data file info!
I can't get the app again/the app doesn't work for me on IOS
We have an APK pinned in our discord that can allow you to play Liar! again on an emulator. We have a couple of recommendations for specific emulators in our discord!
(You will have to set up a transfer account though)
I don't have the disk space
We have multiple resources to help compress videos in our discord!
If you have no problems w/ helping with archiving after me going through that then
The following missing files/stories are categorized as follows:
Missing Data Files: we have absolutely NOTHING on these files - no cgs, no data info, no recordings of story (if applicable)
Missing Data File Stories: goes along with Missing Data Files but we are specifically missing the story recordings of these files
Missing Event Stories: events are unplayable but we'll take clips, screenshots, or short versions of these routes from data files (and if you somehow have the full thing then 👀we'll definitely will take that)
Update: we're also trying to take as many screenshots of sprites and backgrounds as we can for a project we're doing!
Under the read more, we're missing the following stuff:
(this list will be updated as time goes on so please check the most recent version of this post to see what we're missing)
November 30th update: the game has finally shut down
As the game is now officially shut down, the majority of these files cannot be recorded or obtained but if you still have screenshots or already existing recordings of these, then we'll be happy to archive them!

Reluctantly, Miho walked with Kaga from her apartment to the academy in the morning. He acted like everything was normal though didn’t say a whole lot, and disappeared into Namba office the moment they entered the instructors’ room.
All eyes turned to her – Soma had one eyebrow raised and a suggestive smile on his lips; Ishigami looked coldly appalled; Goto looked confused, shifting his eyes between her and Namba’s door like that could explain everything; Shinonome glared, but everything about his first comment was provocative.
“So, you and Kaga hooked up huh?” he declared, and Miho rolled her eyes, unable to deny it before it continued. “Don’t bother denying it, I saw you leaving together last night, and arriving together this morning.”
“So we met at the gates,” Miho huffed, but the triumph in Shinonome’s expression said she indeed shouldn’t have tried to deny it.
“Except for the fact his apartment is in the other direction,” he pointed out.
“Isn’t it true the Chief instructed you to remain home today?” Ishigami broke in, saving Miho from further probing.
“It’s also true I told him I have classes today that I don’t want to cancel,” she responded easily, heading toward her own office door. “Whatever you heard, or think you know, I’m fine and fit for work.”
“Hmph,” came a grunt from the main room’s door.
Miho didn’t need to turn around to know it was Narita.
“If I have anything to say about it, this won’t be your place of work for much longer,” he declared dryly.
“Lucky for me you’re not in charge then,” Miho smiled breezily, before disappearing into her office.
“They really arrived together?” Goto asked Shinonome, who smirked.
“Jealous?” Shinonome grinned teasingly, and this caused a hue of pink to rise into Goto’s cheeks.
“Hardly,” Goto refuted. “I just didn’t think he was her type.”
“More like your type?” Shinonome snickered, and despite himself, Goto blushed all the harder, whether it was true or not.
“Outrageous,” Narita spat. “As if having a woman like her as an instructor isn’t bad enough, to think she interfered in an official investigation is absurd and completely contemptible.”
“I can’t disagree, with that last part anyway,” Ishigami admitted, weighing in.
“Seems like they got the desired result though,” Soma put in, not necessarily defending Miho and Kaga, but certainly not admonishing them either.
“And to enter into a relationship with her,” Narita hissed disgusted. “There is simply no place for that kind of thing here.”
“That kind of thing?” Soma chuckled. “As far as I’m aware, there is no rule that prohibits instructors from being in romantic relationships; it’s just that it’s only been us men up until now.”
This did nothing to temper Narita’s vehement disapproval, and he stalked out looking irritated as usual.
“I’m find, Subaru, you’re making way too much of this,” Miho said into her mobile phone as she headed to her first session class.
“You got shot, Miho!” he exclaimed. “If I’d known that bastard was going to drag you into that kind of danger I’d have…”
“I’m a big girl,” she laughed, though secretly it warmed her heart that she had he and Kaiji who were willing to do just about anything for her. “I can look after mys…”
Just as she turned the corner, she collided with a figure; the stack of papers she had been carrying scattered all over the corridor, and her phone went clattering across the floor.
“Ow,” she grimaced as a shock of pain chewed across her shoulder, and she leaned a little against the wall waiting for it to subside.
“Instructor Fujiwara!” student Chiba Daisuke exclaimed as he stumbled back. “I’m so sorry!”
In a fluster he began to collect the papers, scuttling about, while Subaru’s voice called from the floor.
“Miho? What the hell’s going on?”
Still tense, Miho stooped slowly to pick up her phone and placed it against her ear again.
“It’s fine Subaru, but I have to get to work. I’ll see you later probably – I have an appointment with the Prime Minister.”
She then hung up on him, not giving him even the chance to say goodbye.
“The Prime Minister?” Chiba repeated as he tried to tidy the edges of the paper stack now cradled in his arms.
“Ah, yeah,” Miho affirmed with a cautious nod. “I used to tutor his daughter.”
“Seriously?” he blinked, like that was totally amazing.
Okay, it was a little amazing, in fact it had opened all kinds of doors to her and ultimately given her the opportunity to work at the academy.
“Yeah,” Miho smiled, motioning with her head that they begin walking, and Chiba seemed more than happy to carry her notes. “She’s going to be a famous actress one day, I just know it.”
“I’m sorry about running into you,” Chiba apologised again, stopping to bow low to her. “I should have been looking where I was going.”
“That aside, you should have been heading in the opposite direction,” she pointed out, but her tone was light, lacking reproach. “If I’m not mistaken, you’re supposed to be in my class now.”
“Yes, of course,” he agreed quickly, rising.
Together they arrived at the correct classroom, where most of the other students were waiting.
Miho inhaled a slow, calming breath, purposefully making eye contact with all three of the four boys who had been involved in her assault; the fourth, it seemed, was absent. They returned her gaze impassively, though their postures grew more rigid.
The entire vibe of the classroom seemed a little more aggressive.
It wasn’t far into the term, nor far into Miho’s employment. At first it seemed that students didn’t quite know what to make of their new compulsory class, nor their foreign English teacher, but now there was something else she couldn’t quite put her finger on; but it wasn’t good.
Resentment?
Hostility?
Distain?
Only Chiba, Sasaki and Asano made a point of smiling at her as she took her place at the front of the classroom and began the lesson.
Though the class progressed without incident, Miho noted the occasional whisper and sharp glance at her that she knew was not about the conjugation of verbs.
At the conclusion of the lesson, when students began to file out on their way to other classes, Miho stopped Chiba.
“I don’t want to put you in a difficult position,” she began carefully, a slight frown on her brow, “but I’ve noticed some disquiet amongst some of the other students, and wondered if there is anything I’ve done wrong?”
Despite the clear and confident way she pronounced each word, the statement itself still reeked horribly of insecurity.
“Disquiet?” Chiba echoed.
“Yeah, ahh, dissatisfaction,” Miho clarified.
“Oh… um…” he murmured, looking uncomfortable.
“I asked,” Miho pointed out with a small chuckle, “so I want to know, whether it’s good or bad.”
“Well,” he began slowly, “some are wondering what the point of your class is. I mean, I find it fascinating, and knowing a second language, especially English will be very useful and good for my career, but it just seems like… to some… that there is a gap between this class and all our other classes.”
“A gap?” Miho scowled.
“Yeah,” he nodded. “Everything else is about us becoming competent Public Safety officers.”
“I see,” Miho mused thoughtfully.
It made perfect sense actually.
“Do you think if I gave our English lessons Public Safety context, that you’d find it more meaningful?” she offered.
“Well, you know, I already find it meaningful,” he rushed, his face suddenly a little flushed, “but yes, I think that might help win over some my more skeptical classmates.”
“Say,” Miho then smiled, tilting her head a little, “how would you feel about helping me with that?”
“What? Me?” he blinked in flustered surprise.
“All the other instructors have aides, I don’t see why I should be any different, especially if I’m going to modify the curriculum to make it more relevant.”
“I… well… it would be an honour!” he asserted.
“Excellent,” Miho declared. “I’ll talk it over with the Chief and let you know. Now, you’d better get to your next class.”
“Thank you Instructor,” he said, and after bowing to her again, went on his way.
“Hmm,” Miho mused, chewing the inside of her cheek thoughtfully as she headed back toward her office, nearly crashing into someone else at the next corner.
“What where you’re going moron,” Kaga muttered, looking down at Miho, irritated.
She, looked at the hand that had taken her upper arm to keep her from stumbling back.
“Jerk,” she volleyed, tossing her head a little. “Heh, you’re still here so I take it the Chief didn’t suspend you.”
“If he did that, nothing would ever get done around here,” Kaga pointed out arrogantly, and though his grip on Miho’s arm hadn’t fallen away, it did soften a little – no longer about holding her up.
“Obviously,” Miho snorted, glancing out the window ever so briefly, before she was struck with another idea. “Hey, you teach interrogation techniques right?”
“You didn’t get enough of that the other day?” he responded, inching just a little closer to her.
“Give it a rest,” she blustered, defiantly lifting her chin. “I’m trying to think of ways to make English classes more relevant for students,” she explained, pushing their close proximity to the back of her mind – this was work, after all. “And so perhaps some interrogation scenarios in English would be a good start. Certainly topical given recent events.”
“And you want me to help?” he concluded, that slow smile creeping across his lips. “That is definitely going to cost you.”
“Oh I think I paid far more last time than was due,” she countered, but he didn’t seem the least bit put off.
“Really? I could have sworn you told me not to feel guilty about that, so you can’t hold that over me now,” he pointed out.
Damnit!
“Will you help me or not?” she exhaled as she straightened.
“I have some time this afternoon,” he answered, but Miho shook her head.
“I have an appointment off campus. Tonight?” she suggested. “I want to get right on this.”
“My place,” he nodded.
“Uh no,” she shook her head.
“Your place then,” he shrugged. “I think I may have left something anyway.”
“Your dignity?” Shinonome snickered, appearing out of nowhere, and Miho was unable to keep the burn from her cheek, even though the conversation between she and Kaga had technically been about work.
“Watch it, Ayumu,” Kaga glowered, finally disengaging from Miho’s arm.
“My classroom will be fine,” Miho declared as she stepped around him. “At 7? Don’t be late.”
“You’ve got some nerve,” Kaga growled, but Miho was already walking away, satisfied that in the end, she had gotten the upper hand.
