Summary:

Lance had been in the pod for one movement, and if the team noticed Keith spent his days next to Lance, they didn't mention it. He would stay on his side, often skipping meals and forgetting to take care of himself. He sometimes went to the training grounds when it was all too much. Keith set the training bots to a high difficulty and got his ass handed to him, but at least he didn't worry about anything other than fighting.

Daily Fic Rec #4

i hate you in spanish by MaramMarks is an incredibly cute oneshot. There’s not much to say, but I like how the author writes in their interactions as genuine, thoughtful conversations, instead of like overly pining teens as seen in most oneshots where there’s a compromising situation. (lol) The flow of the dialogue was natural, and what was interesting for me was that instead of like most oneshots, they didn’t write their banter as perfect, thought out remarks, but organic reactions that made me relate even more to their oblivious pining. Spoiler: The way they wrote about Lance’s backstory also helped me connect to Keith’s reactions/like Lance even more. And, the prompt was pretty creative, I’ve got to admit. There weren’t many flaws in this short fic, and I think it’s pretty well rounded. It’s definitely a re-read fic if you don’t have much time. 4/5 stars.

Sorry for the mediocre review today, I didn’t have time to finish the fic I was going to rate today, so I just pulled one I had in my ‘read before and liked’ pile.

that preview of chapter 7 i had promised but never got around to!!! it was also requested, so now i really have to post it

“You wouldn’t have came out of your room until mid-afternoon otherwise.” Chestnut rabbit ears twitched as his mother turned on her heel and began walking away. “Veronica is going to chew you out,” she stated as she turned a corner to pad downstairs.

Lance gasped and chased after her. Too energetic to wait behind his mother as she descended the steps, he took to the railing, recklessly sliding down with a manic grin. He heard his mother’s breath hitch behind him and knew she’d scold him later, but that was insignificant compared to seeing his sister. His older siblings didn’t visit much, too busy with their own lives and their own families in some cases. They usually only made time for big holidays and birthdays. Sometimes a random weekend if they were lucky. And even though they called constantly, there was nothing like seeing them in person.

Lance hopped off the railing and burst into the dining room. “V!” He exclaimed, ears and tail immediately making an appearance at the sight of his sister drinking coffee at the table. She set her mug down and glanced at Lance, smile small but as bright as any star. Silent as always, she got to her feet and reached out her arms, which Lance barreled into, nearly taking them both down. He followed his sister as she stumbled backwards before quickly regaining her footing, squeezing her against him.

A few seconds passed before he felt a hand patting his shoulder. “Alright, that’s enough. It’s not like it’s been years.”

I started a new story! (Haha, whoops!)

Tbh, it’s probably gonna be #klance endgame or something like that, but it’s basically a college/supernatural AU that’s rated T rn for swearing and whatnot. I just wanted to write one, so yeah. First chapter is Lance having a migraine and friendly witch!Keith helping him out. Keith being a witch gives me life.
