Voltron Dance AU: Lance

OKAY SO IT TURNS OUT I NEVER ACTUALLY UPLOADED THIS

This is just sad, really, I drew this waaay back in 2018 and apperently totally forgot to upload it...

I promise I didn't forget about this AU, it's one of my favourites really, it's just I moved onto some other fandoms since then, but I'll probably get back to it periodically!

So! About Lance! There won't be much to stay because I haven't really worked on the AU since then, and most of his story overlaps with Keith's.

Lance's names and aliases in his various teams: Team Terra/Voltron: Originally he chose the performer name Blue Sniper, then later when they changed their name to Team Voltron, he'll change it to Blue Paladin! Team Terra alias: His non-performer name is his real name, Lance. Incognito: When he goes out to dance as a civillian just for fun he calls himself Charlie.

For the outfits, the first is clearly his practice outfit he wears when they train between dance-offs with the team, like I went with hippos for Keith, I went with sharks for Lance, them being his favourite animal and all! The second one is his official showtime outfit, the one he wears to the competition. The third is his "civillian" outfit. He wears that when he goes out to dance-clubs in incognito, away from Team Terra during the competiton to just let loose and have some fun. The fourth will be his Team Voltron outfit, if I ever get around making it. As for the Klance part of the AU, wow okay so, basically it's complicated. Of course "Akira" and Lance can't stand eachother, Akira considers Lance to be an annoying show-off, and Lance considers Akira to be an overrated closed-off emo guy. Tho behind all that they both apperciate eachother's talents as rivals. Akira's best ability are his improvisation skills, he can come up with a hit coeography on the spot. While Lance is a really quick learner and I mean really quick, he can learn and mirror almost any moves right on sight. He's basically the only one who can keep up with Akira. Eventually they'll get along pretty well just as bickering friends when Keith warms up to Team Terra and starts to feel himself at home. HOWEVER, just like how Lance goes out to various clubs to have fun and let loose, or when he's feeling homesick and he needs to let off some extra energy, "Akira" also sneaks out to clubs alone, mostly to gather information for the Blade of Marmora. This is how they'll meet one night, and given how they hide their identities on the team they won't recognise eachother. At first they'll just tease eachother and have some friendly dance-offs but then later they team-up against other dancers and even start to meet up outside of dancing too. Long story short they'll end up in this loose-not-official-friends-with-benefits kind of relationship and they're both just cowards to admit more. Well Lance is a coward, Keith still has his sense of duty towards the Blade of Marmora. Of course everything comes to an end and eventually Lance will be the first to figure out Akira and Keith are actually the same person, and shit will really hit the fan when the team realises Akira is actually working for Zarkon. (They don't know about his Blade of Marmora thing at that time.) Personalitywise Lance is pretty much the same as in the show not much is changed there. In the AU he attented the Garrison Dance School alongside with Hunk (and maybe Pidge.) I think that's about it for now, I'm kind of losing my train of thought here so I'll get back to it with an update if I remember anything else but I think this is what I have so far.

Who doesn't love a good Voltron Dance AU?

Headcanon that lance can dance and sing really well so sometimes when he gets lonely at midnight he'll go to the training room and starts singing soft Spanish song and start freestyling a really emotional dance and 9/10 time's it ends with him crying. But when he's angry he doesn't even bother singing he just puts on the loudest and quickest song he knows and just fucking dances, all sharp jolts and fast paced foot work until he collapses.

I’m just so sad for the hate that is going around the vld fandom right now, I hope that we can go on and enjoy things together like we used to do. A shout out to @wittyy-name and @wolfpainters: I really hope that the problem with ao3 will be fixed soon and that we can all read the new chapter of “The Marks We Make” soon! Have this shot inspired from their @shutup-and-dance-with-me fic.
