Shiro had been thinking about it over and over again. How was he supposed to tell the Princess everything? About him, about his brother, about his family. Of all the ways to tell her, he never planned this.
They were mid mission, freeing poor souls captured by the Galra Empire that it was kind of... Forcefully made clear.
Shiro moved fast to clear rooms, to direct people through to the safe area with Hunk and the others who were keeping their escape route clear. Everything was going according to plan, that is until one door opened and he was face to face with a scene he never thought he’d see.
In the room was what looked to be a Galra Shiro strapped to a bench. His skin was a grey toned purple, his ears elongated to look almost cat-like with tufts of ‘fur’ edging the outer line of the ear. The eyes, now wild and wide, were a brilliant yellow and nothing else, even with a slight glow to them, now trained on Shiro, the muzzled mouth moving as if to say Shiro’s name.
The figure standing over the clear ‘experiment’, which even had the mechanical arm Shiro bore, only the finger tips were clawed, was none other than a Druid. Shiro felt his body burn in rage and glared, forgetting for a moment that he was not the sweet Paladin, and instead that he was what the Arena had made him.
“Step away from my brother.” the words were growled out before he could think and the Druid reared back on Shiro, readying to fight.
“You will not live past this, Champion.” the Druid hissed and Shiro moved to protect Allura as the Druid threw all he had at Shiro, who threw his arms up like a boxer to block.
He felt the lightning hit him, felt his footing skid, felt himself burn from the touch. Instinct took over and he yelled, fighting back before his arms snapped out and the Druid staggered back.
When everything cleared Shiro was glowing, eyes alight with a new kind of energy, markings clear as day on his face and the Druid seemed stunned.
“Allura. Free my brother and get him out.” Shiro’s voice was firm, as it always is, before he charged the Druid, making the Galra recoil into defensive whilst Shiro seemed unwavering in his onslaught. The man on the Bench now looked to Allura, jerking around, clearly acting like she has to hurry as he flicked eyes to Shiro worriedly.
