@volturimaster asked:
how long has it been , 300 , 400 years ? - didyme
Didyme was frozen in place, the only thing moving was the flickering of emotion over her face as she stared at Aro. Pain, anger, hatred, fear, sorrow, regret, yearning, love. How was it possible to feel so much simultaneously for one person? And yet, as she stared at her brother for the first time in ages, her heart felt near to ripping itself apart.
Finally, her expression settled into a singular, suspicious wariness. ❝Give or take a few decades,❞ she answered him after a moment. Her voice was quiet, but there was a tense edge to it, unable to forget their last meeting.
Her eyes slid from him to look around to see if he was alone or if there was some guards or who knew what waiting to attack. ❝I didn't expect to see you again.❞ More than that, she had hoped that this day would never come, the fear of what might happen not something she had wanted to confront.
But, now that they were here, she wasn't entirely sure what to expect or what to do. ❝How are you, brother?❞ The word 'brother' felt odd on her tongue, having pushed that relation far down for so long. Though, the question was a far more polite question than the many that danced on the tip of her tongue. Despite that relation, she was still guarded, still wary of him and his motives. And her power was kept leashed, tamped down and away, but ready to unleash if and when needed.
