Jane touched the light hair of her infant daughter once more, fascinated. Audrey was sleeping now, as was Zachary, and Jane couldn't bring herself to leave her baby's side. She held her child carefully in her stone cold arms. She was wary that the baby might wake up and cry from the discomfort of such a hard embrace. Jane tore her eyes from Audrey for a moment to look across the room at her husband. He was sprawled over the bed, his arm hanging off the side of the mattress. Zachary snored slightly, much to the vampire's amusement. Audrey, however, was less than enthused by the sound that awoke her. Jane quickly escorted the now-awake baby out of the room. She bounced the infant on her hip as she tried to ease Audrey's cries, a small shushing sound escaping her own lips. After Audrey had calmed down, Jane noticed her daughter was still wide awake. Strange. The small vampire tried walking through the halls to soothe the child, but she merely looked around at each painting on each wall. Before long, Jane recognized Theo's room ahead. She moved swiftly- which her daughter protested- and rapped her knuckles on the door. She waited, swaying her child back and forth as she heard the movements of life- well, unlife- inside the room. "Open the door, Theo. I have someone I'd like you to meet." @volturisdeartheodore
