Oof, not sure if that's a line about wanting to hide his eyes from Vegapunk, due to their past and what he's being forced to do.
But if it is, I love it.
Oh wow, the World Government is bombing an island filled with all the most advanced knowledge in the world because the resident is looking into the Void Century.
Where have I seen that before?
In all seriousness, I wonder how many times something to this extent has happened since the Void Century?
I love Kizaru's line there, really commenting on how much time has passed on how much each Straw Hat has overcome since their last meeting.
Given the state of Kuma last time we saw him, there was a part of me that genuinely thought Bonney would never see her father again.
And bringing her back in this arc, really developing her and showing how she is just a kid who misses her dad, and then only reuniting her with him when you can fully appreciate what that means for her.
It's genuinely so good.
There probably is something to say here about how willpower can overpower many things. It can make the impossible possible.
Kuma was completely erased and turned into a subservient robot, and further, he was completely shut down.
But I guess it's not so easy to just completely shut out a person's ambition and will.
It feels like it might be a bit of a parallel with the World Government and the World at whole.
They use all their resources and power to try and push their boot down on the world and drive it into their service. But no matter what they do, they just can't stop parts from rising up against them to meet them.
Gonna be honest, this is satisfying after hearing Saturn say and do all the things since he's arrived at Egghead.
