one piece but only the rainbow covers (53, 62, 66, 76, 83 & 95)
hello do you possibly know any Japanese? There’s an sbs in the new op volume (95) asking about if zoro ever experiences pain in his teeth while using wado, and I got the gist of it but I would love to understand it completely if you could translate it
Well my Japanese isn’t great, you’re probably going to want to wait for the official translations, but I’ll try to do it for you since I’m also curious about what it says (disclaimer this might not be 100% accurate).
Reader: Hello, Oda-sensei. I have a question that I’d like to ask Oda-sensei. This is Zoro holding his sword in his mouth (note: reader drew a picture of Zoro doing Santoryuu), but doesn’t his teeth hurt? My number one favourite character is Zoro. From N Shunya-kun.
Oda: Yes Shunya-kun who likes Zoro. You’re kind aren’t you ~ (note: he’s refering to the way the reader asked the question in polite Japanese). Certainly, Zoro would be in pain, wouldn’t he… But he does his best at holding the sword with his teeth! As to why things are this way, long ago Zoro made a promise to his friend who died “One of us must become the World’s Greatest Swordsman!“ and the sword he holds in his mouth is a memento of that friend. For the purpose of turning the painful feelings about his friends into his strength, Zoro mastered Santoryuu! Therefore, although his teeth may hurt, he continues to hold the sword with his mouth! Until the day he becomes the World’s Greatest Swordsman! Thank you for your question! Until next time!
