Was I the only person who saw this cover for Volume XIII and was like, “Awww yeah!! It’s returning!Islander time!! Are we getting an enemies-to-lovers with Lexi??” And was consequently SO disappointed when two brand new girls walked in instead or…? 🤔

Rumor Mill Vol. XIII

Hey, folks! Sorry it's been so long since my update. Not much happens when people aren't out exploring Hyrule, I guess. And this plague has caused a significant lack of exploring.

I did see something interesting, though, when I last visited Hateno.

A Zora De-Forresta!

It was weird enough seeing a zora in the woods just east of Hateno Village. But this one carried a big iron sledgehammer and was blowing down trees left and right!

You read that right, folks. Blowing down trees — as in, with bombs! This maniac also helped out some herbalists who got attacked by some bokoblins, but that doesn't mean the zora didn't also chuck bombs in every direction to blow down trees and pick up the wood.

What does a zora even need with that much wood? Are they gonna build a boat?

Anyway, one of the bokoblins had a simple woodcutter's ax (pretty common just outside of bigger villages like Hateno, you know) and the zora just. Took it. Just like that.

They then of course killed the bokoblins with its own ax before actually chopping down some more trees.

Then, get this, the zora threw a bomb at another bokoblin, and ended up blowing both the bokoblin and themselves off the side of the cliff!

An absolute maniac, I tell you!

I went to go check if they were okay (and ask some questions like why they need all that wood) but they were gone. I could see the bokoblin's guts floating in the water below (also, ew) but no trace of the zora. They must've swam away. Probably to some other woods.

So if you live by a forrest and hear explosions, don't get in the way.
