He's gonna give Hanji a titan in return. He caught one and kept it alive, a little four-meter just for her.

“Why thank you Angriff! I’ll make the most use outta him. Conduct all sorts of experiments and tests on!” Hanji used her gear to get onto his shoulder before giving his a pat on his cheek. “And double thank you for managing to control yourself to keep ‘em alive, too.”

A forest once overrun with titans now seemed like it’d be a possible place for humanity to live once more. Something out there had been wiping out the titans. Something as big as the titans themselves. No one in the Scouts really saw what, but they believed it could possibly be a titan gone rogue. If that was the case, Levi supposed he owed the disgusting creature a thanks... but just because the forest looked clean didn’t mean it really was.

He and his squad managed to take out a few titans they found while searching the area they had been ordered to investigate, but the flash of an abnormally large arm caught Levi’s attention and curiosity got the best of him. It wasn’t moving, so he assumed that perhaps this was a titan already felled? Or perhaps one recovering from being stunned? Either way, while his squad were busy talking amongst themselves, he made his way over through the trees and landed on a branch just above the object of interest.

It was a relatively small titan with a big head, munching away on the body of one of the recruits that had followed them into the trees. The captain frowns, sending a silent prayer that this one didn’t die painfully and found their way to the heavens... but the way this titan was eating, it seemed they suffered.

Inching forward on the branch, Levi prepares his blades to cut down through the neck of the beast when a sudden roar from the shadows of the trees caught both Levi and the titan’s attention. They turn their gaze forward, peering into the darkness, when Levi see’s something charging at them.

Another titan?!

In an attempt to flee and warn his squad and various others, Levi fires off a flare before his foot slips and he falls into the mess of branches, his ankle getting caught and no amount of struggling was getting him free.
