Yesudas is a famous male play back singer. He sings Indian classical, devotional, and popular music. He has recorded more than 60,000 songs in many languages including Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Bengali, Telugu, Gujarati, Punjabi, Oriya, Marathi, Sanskrit, , Russian, Arabic, Tulu, Malay, Latin and English during a career spanning five decades.
Yesudas has won the National Award for the Best Male Playback Singer, Film fare Awards and the State Award for the Best Playback Singer 43 times, which consists of awards by the state governments of , Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal. He was awarded the PadmaShri in 1975 and the Padma Bhushan in 2002 by the Government of India for his contributions towards the arts. 2. SP Balasubramaniam Sripathi Panditaradhyula Balasubrahmanyam is an Indian film playback singer, music director, actor, voice actor and film producer. He is mostly referred to as Balu. He has won the Guinness World Records for recording the highest number of songs.He won the National Film Award for Male Playback Singer and the Nandi Awards in Telugu cinema 25 times from the Government of Andhra Pradesh. He has sung over 40,000 songs in various Indian languages.He has won National Film Awards across south Indian languages as well as a Film fare Awards, five Film fare Awards South and numerous state awards from Karnataka Tamil Nadu and. Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao (1922–1974) was a Legendary & distinguished Indian playback singer and music composer of Telugu films and many other languages such as Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, Tulu and Kannada. He was the recipient of the Padmashree award, India's fourth highest civilian award. For nearly more than a quarter of a century, he was the distinguished voice of Telugu films. He composed excellent music for more than 100 movies in Telugu, Kannada and Tamil films. He composed and sang the Bhagavad Gita in 1974. On 11 February 2003, a stamp was released by the Govt. of India in honour of Ghantasala at Telugu Lalita Kala Toranam, Public Gardens, Hyderabad.
4. S.Janaki Sishtla Sreeramamurthy Janaki, known as S. Janaki, is an Indian playback singer. Janaki has sung nearly 15,000 songs in most of the languages of South India. she has sung songs in various languages, highest number of songs she has sung is in Malayalam and Kannada. She has won four National Film Awards and different State Film Awards. She is known as, "The Nightingale of the South". she is a recipient of an honorary doctoratefrom the University of Mysore and the Kalaimamani award from Tamil Nadu State Government. In 2013, she refused the offer of a Padma Bhushan award by the Government of India.
