Dose your character have any close friends or traveling companions?

Dalamus has some close friends, certainly! Tortulja and Shadrach are among his closest friends, a couple of the first to wholly accept him as a vampire, and they’re practically family if you ask him. He’d trust them with his life, and protect them with his life, without hesitation.

He trusts Thias a great deal, as well, despite him being a Vampire Hunter! Thias knew Dalamus to be a vampire before Dalamus even told him (due to his Hunter training and frequent friendly proximity to Dal), yet never treated him differently, earning a great deal of Dalamus’ respect.

He is fairly close with Brielle, a Breton mage, despite his fear of magic, because of her friendliness which made her easy to approach. Rather than abject fear upon learning of his vampirism, she expressed curiosity. Her openness made her a quick friend.

And while Dalamus might not often openly SAY he’s friends with Badras (written by @playinglleaflet ), he is. They’re friends, and Dalamus has been growing more fond of him. Since Badras is kind of a wanderer, he’s probably the most likely to be a traveling companion! Badras’ sass and attitude and generally optimistic view of things keep Dalamus on his toes and even makes him chuckle now and then.

darinean could barely remember the details of what REALLY happened when the vampires attacked the vigilants' sanctuary. he thought he'd be safe there his whole life... only for that ideal to be shattered right before his eyes. he had to watch his mentor, someone who he would consider to be a mother figure of some sort, DIE.

darinean couldn't save them; he barely escaped himself. he was pale, his body drained of almost all life force thanks to the vampires' horrifying magic. on top of that were bleeding cuts of blades being slashed at him ( and said attacks being barely dodged ) littering his upper body, weakening him further. clinging onto consciousness, the young, and now orphaned, vigilant had managed to lose the beasts in the snow surrounding the area of what once was his home.

he dragged himself as far as his weak legs could carry him, before finally sinking to his knees under a nearby tree, then leaning against the bark in an attempt to find some rest.

said rest was soon to be interrupted when he heard the soft crunching of snow under somebody's feet. darinean forced his eyes open, only to see what he assumed was a woman not too far away from him. she seemed to be looking for... something.

" hey-- i-i'm here. ",

the vigilant slurred, his voice barely audible enough to be heard. he pulled up his arm and waved his hand a bit to try and get the stranger's attention, before slumping again.

he felt like ten giants and their mammoths trampled him.

" i could... i could use a hand. "

     “professor dornlock?”  maliinah’s voice chimes from behind her,  hands tied plaintively together,  so she doesn’t move them as she speaks.  “i had a question,  erm,  you mentioned something about dragons in today’s lesson.  i was curious as to where you learned so much about them.”

Oh, it’s been too long since I’ve been to Riften. I know I’m not exactly in the most fit state for the trip, but I miss it - and Brielle! Always warms me to see her. Maybe I can convince Haelga that tea and natter with a friend would be good for me...

She’s a very striking-looking woman, isn’t she? But I feel like there’s something - hard, in her eyes. Wouldn’t want to get in her way, that’s for damn sure.

“Naturally!” Dust snaps on a pair of goggles, flexing her gloved fingers with a wicked grin. “Isn’t it wonderful that the answer to that difficulty is simply doing more science? Let’s get to it.”

The older Breton’s expression softens. If permitted, she reaches for Brielle’s hands and gives them a squeeze. “You really are a healer, through and through. We can only do what we can, dear. I have no doubt you will strive for perfection whenever you can, but you must remember to live for yourself, too.”
